Each VIP Home Departure Service vehicle carries no more than six passengers, the majority no more than four, allowing luggage room, the space to relax and the minimum number of stops on your journey. Our friendly, mature, uniformed drivers are carefully selected and monitored, many having worked with Titan now for several years, and they participate in an ongoing training programme which includes advanced driving instruction. On journeys longer than three hours, comfort breaks and complimentary drinks are included.
Titan was delighted to be recognised in the 2012 Cruise International Awards, claiming the title of Best Cruise Product/Service for its renowned VIP Home Departure Service.
Scheduled, direct flights with world-class airlines or no-fly comfort with Eurostar
Nearly all of our international flights are direct and operated by world-renowned, scheduled airlines. The seating and service will be amongst the best in Economy class, but we also offer a selection of competitively priced upgrades (page 92) for travellers looking to treat themselves to a little extra luxury. No-fly cruise holidays, departing from (and returning to) Londons spectacular St Pancras station, and appreciating the romance of travelling by Eurostar, are perfect for those cruise travellers who do not enjoy the flying experience or simply prefer the pleasure of a journey completed entirely at ground and sea level. See page 93 for more details on cruise holidays with Eurostar.
The majority of VIP Home Departure Service transfers are not exclusive to one holiday booking and journeys to and from the airport may be undertaken via additional addresses. Occasionally, a quality local private hire vehicle may be used, particularly for shorter journeys.
Complimentary regional flights are offered subject to availability at time of booking in our designated airline booking class. Should this not be available, a small flight supplement may apply. Titan airport representatives and porterage assistance are not available at regional airports. Titans VIP Home Departure Service is not available from Scottish islands at this time. Other terms and conditions apply.

GO ACTIVE
If all this good food, first-class pampering, luxurious bedding and on the doorstep cultural exploration leaves you feeling out of shape, you can stretch your legs in some of the worlds most beautiful settings as part of Uniworlds Go Active Programme. Cycle along the river path, head out on one of the many hiking trails, or simply explore the countryside at your own pace. Use of bicycles and Nordic walking sticks is free, and your Cruise Manager can supply maps and inspiration.
Along the rivers of Europe, life moves at a slower pace. Uniworld has taken that lifestyle to heart in creating their gentle walking tours in selected cities. If, for whatever reason, you desire a more relaxed pace when other groups head out to conquer the city, you can join a slower-paced group that gives you more time to linger. Browse a few more shops. Admire a beautiful painting. Explore the details of a Baroque cathedral. And rest assured; youll have those same expert local guides, ensuring that you get the most out of your excursion.

The Danube
The longest European river outside Russia rises in Germanys Black Forest and flows almost 3,000km to the Black Sea, through no fewer than 10 countries. An important highway of antiquity, the Danube was famed as the long-time frontier of the Roman Empire and, as such, the cultural influences to the north and south can be markedly different. Its majesty has inspired great works of literature and art, including the 16th century Danube school of landscape painting and, of course, music, most notably Johann Strauss waltz On the Beautiful Blue Danube. Though its waters may not always be as vividly blue as that music has its visitors expect, the Danube still presents the most romantic and scenic way to travel between Central and Eastern Europe.
The Po
Winding its way eastward through northern Italy, the Po and its fertile valley have long been coveted, drawing millions to inhabit this land. But what is perhaps most extraordinary is not the river itself, but the historical and cultural centres nestled along its banks and nearby. These include the picturesque city of Padua, with its intricate network of arcaded streets, the bustling, cosmopolitan college-city of Bologna, renowned for its spectacular history and culture, and charming Ravenna, noted for its delightful boutique-style shops, intimate cafs and welcoming trattorias. And of course, who could refuse a trip to fair Verona, the enchantingly romantic setting for Shakespeares Romeo & Juliet?

The Seine
En route from Burgundy to the Channel, the River Seine flows through the heart of Paris, dividing it into its famous Left and Right banks, and forming, with the riverside Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the most recognisable and breathtaking cityscapes. This in itself might be reason enough to inspire a journey, yet there is much more to experience as the river passes through countryside that so inspired the Impressionists, beside Monets house in Giverny, the cathedral city of Rouen and the glorious medieval harbour of Honfleur.
The Douro
Unspoilt and outstandingly beautiful, carving an unforgettable route beyond postcardpretty hillside villages and stunning terraced vineyards, the Douro presents dramatic panoramas all the way from the Portuguese coastal city of Porto to the ancient university city of Salamanca and beyond, into the sun-drenched heart of the Iberian Peninsula. As well as its outstanding natural beauty, the Douro Valley is a heavenly region for vinophiles, home to the quintas that produce port and a selection of superb red and white wines, including Barca Velha.

Russias Riverways
Mother Volga plays as important a role in Russian daily life, with almost half of the populace living beside or near this, Europes longest river, as it flows 2,300km from the Valday Hills northwest of Moscow to the Caspian Sea. As with every other great river, the Volga has shaped the history of its region for thousands of years. Its cities were among the largest and most influential in the medieval world, and it was during the Middle Ages that the river began to be celebrated in folklore, art and literature. The rivers Volga and Neva are linked by Lake Ladoga, presenting the opportunity for river cruise passengers to discover not only the iconic sights of Moscow and the Golden Ring cities of Uglich and Yaroslavl, but also the peerless cultural and architectural treasures of St Petersburg.

The Yangtze
One of the undisputed cradles of Chinese civilisation, the Yangtze is revered for its cultural, historic and economic importance. The ancestors of Chinas inhabitants populated its banks for millennia, drawing succour from the natural resources afforded by the waterway and nurturing a series of unique and diverse traditions. The longest river in Asia, the Golden Waterway stretches over 6,300km, from its source amongst the glaciers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to the East China Sea and remains hugely important to the countrys economic structure, with two of Chinas great commercial hubs, Nanjing and Shanghai, located nearby, as well as providing a major attraction to travellers. Incorporating profoundly beautiful landscapes as it flows through some of the most scenic regions of this enigmatic nation, such as the Three Gorges, world-renowned for their breathtaking views, the rivers romance and exoticism bewitches all that cruise its waters.

Dendera Valley of the Kings Luxor
Most of Egypts major attractions past and present are located beside or within a short distance of the River Nile. The capital city, Cairo, towers over its broadening waters; the pyramids of the Giza Plateau were constructed with stones floated upriver on barges; the great temples and tombs of Upper Egypt are still defined by their position on the East or West Bank; and Nile-side daily life outside the cities is a sight to behold in its own right, as traditional white-sailed feluccas sail between peaceful rural villages where little seems to have changed since the time of the pharaohs. Though the Nile actually stretches from two sources in the Great Lakes region of Central Africa some 6,600km to a Mediterranean delta, the most dramatic section to cruise lies between the open-air museum of Luxor and the laid-back Nubian town of Aswan, where the river tumbles across a series of picturesque cataracts.

Travelling in Europe
European high-speed train networks are fast and efficient. Comfortable seating, good service and distracting views ensure that the journeys are a pleasure to experience. Where the high-speed network is not available between cities, travel is on the slower traditional trains, which form the backbone of the European rail system. You will arrive into the heart of the city where you will be met by a private transfer service to take you to embark your river cruise ship. Rail cruise options are available for the following itineraries: Legendary Rhine and Moselle - Pages 30-31 Paris & Normandy - Pages 38-39 Tulips and Windmills - Pages 44-45 For more information on our rail cruises, please see the corresponding itinerary brochure page. Please note: If you are booking the Eurostar option within 3 months of the departure date, an additional supplement may be applicable.

Clients applying for a new passport, or renewing an expired one, should allow eight weeks for the application to be processed and up to three months if applying between February and August. Lost, stolen and new passports will take one week minimum to replace. It is essential that you check whether you are in possession of a valid passport before you make your holiday booking. Holders of a British Subject passport and Non-British citizens should check immigration requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate of the country to be visited. Visa forms and guidelines for the relevant country will be sent with confirmation invoices. NOTE: Some travellers including those with certain serious communicable illnesses, criminal records, previous deportations, overstays on the visa waiver programme (US) and other problems may not be eligible by law to enter certain countries. Such travellers must check with the embassy or consulate of the country to be visited in order to ascertain if they are eligible to apply for a special restricted visa. Titan Travel regrets that it cannot accept responsibility for any passenger who has not obtained the correct documentation prior to travel. Egypt - A visa is required for entry into Egypt and can be purchased on arrival, currently at a cost of US$18pp. Travelling with children We regret we cannot accept bookings for children younger than 12 years of age on the date of departure as the holidays in this brochure are not suitable for children. Single parents or other adults travelling with children (under 18 years of age) should be aware that some countries require documentary evidence of parental responsibility before allowing lone parents to enter the country or, in some cases, before permitting the children to leave the country. Further information on exact requirements can be obtained from the relevant embassy of the country/ countries to be visited. Children must have their own individual British Citizen passport. Baggage Please note that if your holiday includes our VIP Home Departure Service, then only one suitcase and one standard piece of hand luggage per person will be allowed. Your suitcase should conform to the following approximate maximum dimensions: Height 58cm (23), Length 73cm (29), Width 25cm (10). Health and Safety requirements dictate that suitcases may only be stored in the luggage compartment of our vehicles. We are therefore unable to accommodate any more than one suitcase per person, or any oversized pieces of luggage. Titan Travel reserves the right to decline carriage and must advise clients travelling with excess baggage, that should separate or additional transport arrangements be necessary, then these will be at the clients own expense. To avoid any problems with our transport arrangements, possible delay to your journey and inconvenience to your fellow travellers, please ensure that these baggage allowance conditions are adhered to. If your holiday does not entail using our VIP Home Departure Service then the applicable airline baggage allowances apply as stated on your Final Itinerary. Please refer to your Final Itinerary as certain tours may have luggage restrictions. Flights Although every effort is made to secure seating on the aircraft to satisfy your particular request, we cannot guarantee that your choice of seats will be available or that seats together can always be obtained. Please note: If the contracted flight booking class for your holiday is unavailable, a supplement may be payable. Similarly, subject to flight times, a supplement may be payable to account for the cost of transfers to and from the ship. You will be advised at the time of booking if any supplement applies. Direct Flights When the term Direct Flight is applied, this refers to a flight involving no change of aircraft. However, the aircraft may make stops en-route. Where a flight is indirect this will be advised to you, although airlines do change their schedule from time to time. Flight Upgrades Please contact our Tailor-Made Sales staff on 0800 988 5810 who will be happy to quote for an upgrade for your chosen holiday - subject to availability. Making your own flight arrangements Please note that if you make your own international flight arrangements and join one of our tours in the destination, our VIP Home Departure Service does not apply. Special Requests These should be advised at the time of booking. Although we shall endeavour to meet special requests, this is dependent upon our suppliers and we cannot guarantee that your requirements will be met. We cannot accept any booking that is conditional upon a special request being met. Requests for extra leg-room on aircraft are so frequently requested that it is unlikely to be available in most circumstances. Meals When requesting vegetarian meals or special diets, it should be appreciated that standard and choice is likely to be limited, within the constraints of a table dhte menu. Where meals are included, please note that there may be a set menu. When a choice of menu is offered, it is possible that you will have to make your selection in advance. Meals are likely to be at a designated time. Continental breakfast usually consists of tea/coffee, rolls and jam. A buffet breakfast usually consists of tea/coffee, a choice of breads, rolls or croissant, cereals, fruit, cheeses and cold meats. A charge may be made for fruit juice or hot dishes that one may expect in a UK hotel. Fitness Requirements / Disabilities & Medical Conditions You must let us know if you or anyone in your party suffers from a serious medical condition or disability before a booking is made. Titan Travel cannot provide individual assistance with boarding coaches or other forms of transport, baggage handling, walking or other personal requirements, etc. and clients should be confident that they can do these tasks unaided. We are happy to give advice and assistance with the choice of your holiday, which will be dependent upon the nature of any disability. In order to ensure your enjoyment of the holiday, we ask all clients to provide full details of any disability or special requirements at the time of booking. Some suppliers such as airlines and cruise lines may request certification from your GP to confirm that you are fit to travel. We regret that we cannot be held liable for any costs you may incur as a result. Regrettably, Uniworld vessels are not suitable for wheelchair users. You are urged to contact our Sales department for further information if you have any difficulty in walking or mobility problems and they will be pleased to advise you on the suitability of any particular holiday. Should your travel needs change from the time of making your booking you must advise us as soon as possible. Rail Travel: Please note that our holidays featuring rail travel are not suitable for wheelchair users, those with walking difficulties or significant health problems. Clients should be aware that they are responsible for their own luggage and should be aware that they may have to carry their own luggage to and from the station entrance to the trains or between stations where there is a transfer. We therefore recommend trolley suitcases with a retractable handle and built-in wheels. We cannot guarantee that your choice of seat will be available or that seats together can always be obtained. Walking: Due to the historic nature and layout of some towns together with current transport regulations, access to places visited and hotels by coach may be limited particularly in Europe. Hotels may also be located in hilly terrain. Clients are advised that a significant amount of walking at a steady pace may be involved. Many of the places visited are extremely old and there are often cobbled streets, uneven steps and terraces. It is important that you take extra care when walking and wear appropriate footwear. Coaches: Although we do try to provide coaches with toilets on board wherever possible, we regret that this facility cannot be guaranteed. It is also possible that, in certain parts of the world, the toilet may have to remain locked at the discretion of the driver where disposal points are not easily accessible. Regular stops are made on every tour for the comfort of all on board. Please note single travellers are likely to be seated alongside another single traveller. Accommodation & Facilities Accommodation in hotels is in twin/double bedded rooms, the majority of which have private bath/shower and toilet although occasionally this will be shower and toilet only. On cruise ships accommodation is in staterooms and have shower and toilet only. Single Rooms - Despite the fact that single rooms carry a supplement, single accommodation is sometimes not of the same standard as twin/double accommodation. Single rooms may not always be in the same area of the hotel as a twin/ double and the single supplement does not necessarily mean a twin/double room will be provided for single occupancy. Triple Rooms - When booking triple rooms, it should be recognised that a third person is required to either share existing beds or an extra bed is placed in the room which can be a camp-style bed or a sofa bed. The addition of an extra bed can sometimes make accommodation slightly cramped. NB. Rooms with 3 beds may not be available at all hotels. If a bed share is not appropriate and an additional single room has to be booked, this will be charged as an extra. Swimming Pools - Where a hotel has a swimming pool, the period when the pool is available is at the hoteliers discretion and is often seasonal. This may be affected by weather conditions or essential maintenance. These situations are beyond our control and the published dates
Turkey - A Turkish visa is required for UK nationals and should be purchased at Istanbul airport for 10 per person. Russia, China, Vietnam and Cambodia - A visa is required for travel. Visa application forms will be sent with your confirmation invoice and can be arranged through TLCS Global Visa Services, our recommended visa procurement provider. Application forms can also be downloaded from the internet - please see www.tlcsvisas.com/titantours. Please note you will be dealing with TLCS direct and whilst we recommend TLCS we cannot be held liable for any delays or problems that may occur. In the event of cancellations or alterations to your holiday our Booking Conditions apply and we regret we cannot be held liable for any costs you may incur as a result. You will also be responsible for advising TLCS of any changes or cancellations.
are therefore not guaranteed. If a pool is expected to be out of use for a considerable period, we will endeavour to inform you as soon as reasonably possible. Please note that towel charges may apply at certain hotels. Noise, Development & Local Functions There may be redevelopment, expansion, building or roadworks taking place in the vicinity of your hotel during your holiday and associated noise can be unavoidable. This may occur without warning to us. If we know in advance of any impending work which could cause you disturbance, we will make every effort to inform you as soon as possible. Hotels rely on several forms of revenue to remain in business and naturally weddings, dinners and other functions may take place during your stay. If you do have a complaint at your hotel or indeed for any other service, you must tell the hotelier who will try and solve the problem on the spot. Holiday Duration The duration of holidays is described in number of days and in all cases includes the day of departure from the UK and the day of arrival back in the UK. Extended Stays We will be happy to assist you if you would like to extend your stay before or after your holiday. Please note an administration charge of 40 per booking will apply. National & Local Holidays During local and national holidays, certain facilities and museums may not be available and therefore sightseeing tours and shopping may be limited. Safety Your safety and security is our first consideration. In the event of the Foreign Office advising against travel to a certain country, we would act on this advice. However, we
do recommend that you check Foreign Office Travel Advice before you make a booking and this can be found on the internet at www.fco.gov.uk/travel. Although we take every precaution in looking after you on tour, the responsibility for your personal safety and welfare and the care of your possessions is obviously the same as that which you exercise whilst at home. Extra care should be taken when walking around cities, especially at night and we recommend you stay in well lit, populated areas. It is also wise to avoid carrying valuables or wearing expensive jewellery. Overseas Standards It is important to remember that, in certain countries, standards are often quite different from those we are accustomed to in Europe. Restaurants and hotel services are often quite different, roads are often little more than bumpy tracks and poverty is ever-present. Energy conservation measures may mean that hotels are obliged to limit services such as air conditioning, water and electricity and the legal and safety requirements of some countries are of a lower standard than the UK. These facts are readily recognised by seasoned travellers and are often well explained in good travel guides. Privacy & Data We want all our clients to enjoy completely successful holidays. However, any client with a medical condition or disability or a dietary/religious requirement must be aware that information supplied to us will be passed to other Egypt Vietnam Cambodia China Tetanus Typhoid Polio
companies and persons who supply the various parts of our travel arrangements. The suppliers may, depending upon your choice of holiday, be based outside the European Economic Area where controls on data protection may not be as stringent as in this country. We will not, however, pass this information to any party that is not responsible for your travel arrangements. Flight Supplements Should your chosen departure date have limited flight availability, a supplement may be charged. Health Requirements can change without notice and some inoculations or precautions, although not compulsory, may be advisable. Local conditions are subject to change and we suggest that you consult your GP or one of the specialist vaccination centres for more detailed information. The Department of Health also offers travellers health advice on www.nathnac.org/travel/index.htm, www.fitfortravel.scot.nhs.uk or www.dh.gov.uk/travellers. The DoH leaflet Health Advice for Travellers is also available from main post offices or by calling 0300 123 1002 We strongly recommend that if you are concerned about DVT or any other health issue you should consult your GP. It is essential that you have comprehensive insurance that covers you for any medical treatment or repatriation costs whilst on tour. Hepatitis A Malaria Cholera

Most of the ships facilities, including your stateroom, will not be available before 3:00pm. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Shore Excursions All the cruises featured in this brochure include a programme of shore excursions. Optional excursions may also be purchased once onboard. Electrical current is 220V. Gratuities You may wish to tip the ships crew, and the amount of the gratuity is entirely subject to your satisfaction with your travel experience. We provide the following purely as a guideline: Ship staff and crew: 10.00 per person per day Cruise Manager: 3.00 per person per day Local guide: 3.00 per person per day Gratitudes are paid by cash for European cruises, there is the option to add gratuities to onboard accounts (excluding cruises on the Queen Isabel and River Victoria). All other cruises cannot bill gratuities to onboard accounts or be paid by credit card. Clients With Disabilities & Medical Conditions These river trips are exciting, relatively active holidays. While there will be plenty of time to relax, there will also be much to see and do. Your included excursions generally require an extensive amount of walking and navigation of numerous steps. Access to sites visited on shore excursions for guests with physical limitations is generally restrictive. For your safety and enjoyment, we recommend all guests be in good physical condition. In addition, most river ships, while spacious and elegant, do not have lifts. Uniworld does not employ staff nurses or doctors onboard its ships. Should you need medical attention, it will be at local facilities, at your own expense. Cruise Itineraries The cruises featured in our brochures are offered subject to the conditions of carriage of the individual cruise lines (a copy of the conditions are issued with your tickets). Changes to times or itineraries, including changes to times and places of arrival and departure of the ship, may be made for reasons including, but not limited to, operational matters, the safety, comfort or enjoyment of passengers, or reasons beyond the cruise lines control. The cruise company reserves the absolute right to change or alter the advertised routings or timings and such changes will not amount to a major change of the holiday. We will always endeavour to advise you of these changes as soon as we are aware of them. River Cruises Water levels on rivers can fluctuate on a daily basis and in serious cases it is possible that the itinerary can be affected with little or no warning. Should your ship be unable to follow the planned itinerary the cruise line will do all they can to ensure all places are visited by alternative means, usually by coach. You should note that unless a confirmed new itinerary is issued to us before travel we are not able to give you prior notice. These changes will not amount to a major change to the holiday. Dining The restaurant accommodates all guests in a relaxed, single, open seating and offers international and national cuisine. Breakfast and lunch are sumptuous buffets with evenings featuring specialities of the house. All meal times are scheduled around tour departures and breakfast can take place very early in the morning. Any special dietary requirements should be advised at the time of booking in order for us to advise the cruise line, although every effort will be made to accommodate your request please be advised that the cruise line cannot guarantee your request will be met. Special Requests Special requests such as cabin location, specific decks (if not already specified) and adjacent cabins can be made at the time of booking. Please note even if a cabin number is confirmed the cruise line reserves the right to alter this prior to boarding. In many cases the cruise line will not allocate a cabin until close to departure and therefore early booking does not necessarily ensure your request will be met. Although every endeavour is made to meet your requests, this is dependant on the cruise line and Titan Travel cannot be held liable for failure to provide. Smoking Policy All river ships do not permit smoking indoors and restrict this to the open deck only. What To Take With You For your general guidance, lightweight casual clothing is ideal for daytime wear and comfortable walking shoes are recommended for on-shore excursions. Depending upon your choice of holiday, we also suggest you take light rainwear, sunglasses, sun hat or visor, an adequate supply of sun lotions, insect repellent and perhaps a pair of binoculars. For evenings, smart-casual wear is perfectly suitable. Men may wish to bring a jacket for the onboard Captains Welcome and Farewell Dinners, ladies may wear a cocktail dress, trouser suit or similar attire. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, it is advisable to take an extra pair in case of any loss or damage. Similarly, if you use any prescription medicine or special cosmetics, bring enough to last for the duration of your holiday as these may not be readily available at ports of call. We recommend that you take with you a photocopy of the photograph page in your passport. Our Sales staff will be happy to give you further advice on your specific choice of cruise.

In some cases, where either we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable). Holiday organisers are required by law to state arrangements for the repatriation of customers in the event of insolvency. This means that you are fully protected, no matter what happens to the price of fuel or variations in the exchange rate for currency. Once a contract exists between us, then the cost of your holiday cannot be increased. Holiday prices can be influenced by taxes such as air passenger duty, aircraft insurance, security, fuel and other associated costs. Our prices are affected by these, as well as exchange rates, suppliers costs and economic trends. The prices shown are based on current charges and costs but they may go up or down; we reserve the right to alter the price of any holiday in our brochures or introduce supplements, and will notify you of the current price prior to any booking - please call us or visit our website for the most up-to-date prices. Paying for your holiday Unless specified otherwise - when you make your booking you must pay the deposit amount per person of 250, or as confirmed by your sales consultant. The balance of the price of your travel arrangements must be paid at least 64 days before your departure date, or as advised at the time of booking and stated on our confirmation invoice. If the deposit and/or balance is not paid in time, we reserve the right to cancel your travel arrangements. If the balance is not paid in time, we shall retain your deposit. All monies you pay to the travel agent are held by them on your behalf until we issue our confirmation invoice. After this the travel agent holds the monies on our behalf. No charge will be levied on deposits made by credit card. 5. The package travel, package holidays and package tours regulations 1992 (the regulations) (a) The Regulations impose various legal requirements on us in relation to packages. Any travel arrangement you book with us in the UK before your departure we will accept as being a package. These conditions are designed to reflect the Regulations. (b) The Regulations particularly impose constraints on the extent to which we can change or cancel your package and impose consequences for any change or cancellation by us. They also require us to accept certain liabilities should something go wrong with your package. In the conditions dealing with changes or cancellations by us and with our liability should something go wrong with your package, we only detail those areas where we are given discretion by the Regulations. You must accordingly read these conditions in conjunction with the Regulations, a copy of which can be obtained from any branch of The Stationery Office. (c) Excursions or other tours that you may choose to book or pay for through an independent third party are NOT packages and are not governed by the Regulations. Therefore, unless you suffer personal injury or death caused by our negligence we do not accept any liability for any loss or damage you may suffer from any excursion booked through a third party. Any arrangements, including those for excursions, travel and accommodation made prior to or while you are actually on holiday and which are not made through us are those for which we do not have any responsibility or liability. 6. If you change your booking Once a contract exists between us, you may wish to change your travel arrangements. For example, your chosen dates of travel, accommodation etc. and we will do our utmost to make these changes but it may not always be possible. Any request for changes to be made must be from the person who made the booking or your travel agent. You will be asked to pay an administration charge of 30 per booking and any further cost we may incur in making this alteration. You should be aware that these costs could increase the closer to the departure date that changes are made and you should therefore contact us as soon as possible. Notes: (i) Certain travel arrangements (e.g. Apex tickets) cannot be changed after a reservation has been made and any alteration request will incur a 100% cancellation charge of that element of your travel arrangements. (ii) Transfers to the airport, seaport or any other place of departure within the UK, where included in the price of your holiday, are a free-of-charge service. 7. If you cancel your holiday You, or any member of your party, may cancel your travel arrangements at any time. Verbal notification from the person who made the booking or your travel agent on your behalf must be made and the cancellation will be effective from the date it is received at our offices. Since we incur costs in cancelling your travel arrangements, you will have to pay the applicable cancellation charges up to the maximum shown on the next page, or as advised by your sales consultant. It should be noted that any additional deposit paid for confirmation of a holiday addition, flight upgrade, or certain tailor-made packages will be included in the scale of cancellation charges detailed at the foot of the following page, or as advised by your sales consultant. Should cancellation occur more than 64 days from departure, the cancellation charge will, therefore, be loss of deposit plus this additional payment. Notes: (i) If the reason for your cancellation is covered under the terms of your insurance policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges. (ii) If one person sharing a twin/double or triple room or cabin should cancel, the remaining participants would then be required to pay the relevant single supplement or forfeit the triple reduction. 8. If we change or cancel your holiday It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your travel arrangements, but we do plan the arrangements many months in advance. Occasionally, we may have to make changes and we reserve the right to do so at any time. Most of these changes will be minor, and we will advise you or your travel agent of them at the earliest possible date. Routings and itineraries can be affected by adverse weather, road closures or other reasons and may be varied accordingly. Cruise lines may make alterations to itineraries at any time over which we have no control. We shall endeavour to advise you of these changes as soon as we are aware of them. We also reserve the right in any circumstances to cancel your travel arrangements. For example, if the minimum number of clients required to operate a tour is not reached, then we may cancel it. We will not cancel your travel arrangements less than 64 days before your departure date, except for reasons of force majeure or failure by you to pay the final balance. If we are unable to provide the booked travel arrangements, you can either have a full refund of all monies paid, or accept an offer of alternative comparable travel arrangements, if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of lower value). If it is necessary to cancel your travel arrangements, we will pay you compensation as set out in the table on the next page. The compensation does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so. Please note that we do not have any responsibility or liability for any consequential loss you may incur from arrangements you have made with any other party or parties. Please note that carriers such as airlines may be subject to change. Such a change is deemed to be a minor change. Other examples of minor changes include alteration of your outward/return flights by less than 12 hours, changes to aircraft type, change of accommodation to another of the same standard, closing of hotel facilities for improvement or emptying a swimming pool for cleaning if alternative facilities are available nearby. If we make a major change to your holiday, we will inform you or your travel agent as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure. You will have the choice of either accepting the change of arrangements, accepting an offer of alternative travel arrangements which shall be of equal or superior quality, if available, or cancelling your booked holiday and receiving a full refund of all monies paid plus compensation. In all cases, except where the major change arises due to reasons of force majeure, we will also pay compensation as detailed in the table on the next page or as advised by your sales consultant. Major Change - This means that there has been a significant change of resort, a change of accommodation to that of a lower category, a change of flight time of more than 12 hours, changes to itineraries, a change to destination airport and a change of departure airport (except between London airports). Please note that these are examples only and there may be other changes which are considered major. Force majeure - This means that we will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised which includes: war, threat of war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, low or high water levels, adverse weather conditions including hurricanes, epidemics, health risks, unavoidable technical problems with transport, closed or congested airports. 9. If you have a complaint If you have a problem or cause for dissatisfaction, please inform the relevant supplier, for example the hotel, the cruise line, the transportation company and our tour manager or local representative (if applicable). This allows us the opportunity to put things right on the spot. If you remain dissatisfied you must contact our UK Duty Officer on +44 1293 450 499 in order that we are allowed the opportunity to find a reasonable solution. It is therefore a condition of this contract that you communicate any problem to the supplier of the services in question AND to our representative WHILST IN THE RESORT and you must

confirm your complaint in writing to the persons set out above. If your complaint is not resolved locally, please follow this up within 28 days of your return home by writing to our Customer Services Department giving your booking reference and all other relevant information, keeping your letter concise and to the point. This will assist us to quickly identify your concerns and speed up our response to you. If you fail to follow this simple procedure we will have been deprived of the opportunity to investigate and rectify your complaint and this may affect your rights under this contract. 10. What happens to complaints We are proud of our high reputation for customer satisfaction and strive to reach amicable settlement of the small number of complaints we receive. It is unlikely that you will have a complaint that cannot be settled amicably between us. However, disputes to do with this contract that cannot be settled amicably may, if you wish, be referred to arbitration under a special scheme arranged by ABTA but administered independently. The scheme (details of which are available upon request or obtained from the ABTA website (www.abta.com) provides for a simple and inexpensive method of arbitration on documents alone with restricted liability on you in respect of costs. The scheme does not apply to claims for any amount greater than 5,000 per person and 25,000 per booking. Also it does not apply to claims that relate to physical injury or illness or their consequences. The scheme can however deal with compensation claims which include an element of minor injury or illness subject to a limit of 1,000 on the amount the arbitrator can award per person in respect of this element. If you choose to proceed to arbitration under this scheme, you must send a written notice of your decision to ABTA within twelve months after your scheduled date of return. 11. Our liability to you (i) We accept responsibility for ensuring that the travel arrangements that you book with us are supplied as described in this brochure. If any part of these travel arrangements is not provided as promised, we will pay you appropriate compensation if this has affected your enjoyment of your travel arrangements. Except for our liability referred to in paragraph (ii) below, our liability in all cases shall be limited to a maximum of twice the cost of your holiday. (ii) We accept responsibility for death, injury or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees or agents, or suppliers and sub-contractors, whilst acting within the scope of, or in the course of their employment, in the provision of your travel arrangements. We will accordingly pay you such damages as might have been awarded in such circumstances under English Law or the law you have chosen under paragraph 1 above, except where such failure (referred to in paragraph 11(i)) or death, injury or illness (referred to in paragraph 11(ii)), is not our fault or of that of our suppliers because:a) such failure is attributable to you or a member of your party; b) such failure is attributable to a third party unconnected to the services provided to you; or c) such failure is due to:i) unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond the control of the party by whom this exception is pleaded, consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all due care had been exercised; or ii) an event which the other party to the contract or the supplier of services, even with all due care, could not foresee or forestall. (iii) In respect of travel by air, sea and rail and the provision of accommodation, our liability will be limited in accordance with and/or in an identical manner to a) the contractual terms of the companies that provide the transportation for your travel arrangements. These terms are incorporated into this contract; and b) any relevant international convention, for example the Montreal Convention in respect of travel by air, the Athens Convention in respect of travel by sea the Berne Convention in respect of travel by rail and the Paris Convention in respect of the provision of accommodation, which limit the amount of compensation that you can claim for death, injury, delay to passengers and loss, damage and delay to luggage. We are to be regarded as having all benefit of any limitation of compensation contained in these or any conventions. Copies of the transport companies contractual terms, or the international conventions can be obtained on request. (iv) Under EU law you have rights in some circumstances to refunds and/or compensation from your airline in cases of denied boarding, cancellation or delay to flights. Full details of these rights will be publicised at EU airports and will also be available from airlines. However reimbursement in such

cases is the responsibility of the airline and will not automatically entitle you to a refund of your holiday cost from us. Your right to a refund and/or compensation from us is set out in clause 8. If your airline does not comply with these rules you should complain to the Air Transport Users Council on 020 7240 6061 www.caa.co.uk. If we make a payment to you in respect of death, injury or illness then you are expected to transfer to us the rights you have to take action against a supplier, employee or any other person. This is so that we can claim back from the supplier or employee any of the payments we have made to you. If we recover from the supplier or employee more than the amount we have paid to you we will pay the additional amount to you. If you, or any member of your party, suffer death, illness or injury whilst overseas arising out of an activity which does not form part of your package travel arrangements, we shall at our discretion, offer advice, guidance and assistance. Where legal action is contemplated and you want our assistance, you must obtain our written consent prior to commencement of proceedings. Our consent will be given subject to you undertaking to assign any costs and benefits received under any relevant insurance policy to ourselves. We limit the cost of our assistance to you or to any one booking to 5,000. N.B. This clause does not apply to any separate contracts that you may enter into for excursions or activities whilst on holiday.
infrastructure and equipment would make carriage unsafe or not operationally feasible. Cruise lines reserve the right to require that a disabled passenger or a passenger of reduced mobility is accompanied by another fare paying person capable of providing assistance to ensure compliance with any applicable safety requirement or law or if the design of the vessel and/or the port infrastructure and equipment means that a disabled passenger or person of reduced mobility cannot be carried in a safe or operationally feasible manner without the assistance of another person. Please note that personal daily care cannot be provided by any member of the ships staff. 13. Insurance You must be suitably insured either through us or with another insurer offering at least equivalent cover before you travel. You accept full responsibility for ensuring that all members of the named party comply with the terms and conditions of the travel insurance policy purchased. Should you while on holiday choose to take part in any activity (e.g. hang gliding, hot air ballooning, white-water rafting, etc.) which can be deemed as being of a hazardous nature, it is essential to ensure that cover is provided under the terms of your travel insurance. The organisers of some adventure activities that you may choose to take part in whilst on holiday may request you to sign a waiver of their liability for risks involved. We must draw your attention to the fact that by signing such a document you may well lose any rights to claim for damages in respect of death, injury, or loss of or damage to property even if negligence on the part of the activity organiser is proven to have occurred. Tour managers and local representatives are instructed not to act as agents in booking any alternative activities other than those approved by us. Any assistance they may offer at your request does not imply they have acted as an agent or that these activities have been approved and are offered for sale by the company. 14. Data protection act In order to process your booking and to ensure that your travel arrangements run smoothly and meet your requirements, we need to use the information you provide such as name, address, passport details, any special needs/dietary requirements etc. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. However, we must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your arrangements such as airlines, hotels, transport companies, etc. This information may also be provided to public authorities by our suppliers for customs/immigration purposes or as required by law. Where such information is required, if we do not receive this in time, your booking may have to be cancelled or an administration fee may be levied by the supplier and we reserve the right to pass this cost on to you. Additionally, where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection may not be as strong as the legal requirements in this country. We will not, however, pass any information on to any person not responsible for part of your travel arrangements. This applies to any sensitive information that you give us such as details of disabilities, or dietary/religious requirements. If we cannot pass this information to the relevant suppliers, whether in the EEA or not, we cannot process your booking. In making your booking, you consent to this information being passed on to the relevant persons. 15. Advanced Registrations You are able to secure your place on your desired holiday before the general release date with a non-refundable deposit of 50 per person. As soon as we are able to finalise your holiday plans we will contact you to provide all the necessary details and collect any additional deposit. Should you decide against travelling on this holiday, our cancellation policy would apply. If the confirmed departure date is more than 3 days from your requested pre-registration departure date, or the price is more than 5% higher than the previous year, you may either transfer to another tour or we will refund your pre-registration deposit in full. Note: We are committed to the on-going training of our staff and this may involve the recording of telephone conversations.
12. Your responsibilities (i) Your specific passport and visa requirements, and other immigration requirements are your responsibility and you should confirm these with the relevant Embassies and/or Consulates. We do not accept any responsibility if you cannot travel because you have not complied with any passport, visa or immigration requirements. (ii) You are responsible for ensuring that any existing medical conditions or disabilities which may require assistance are declared to us before you book your holiday for you and your party or, if newly diagnosed, immediately after diagnosis but no later than 48 hours before departure. This is essential for all bookings. For travel by sea or inland waterways a risk assessment may need to be carried out to confirm if your carriage is possible prior to your departure. If you do not inform us of such a condition we will not be liable if an airline or cruise line refuses to accept you or any member of your party as a passenger. We can only accept your booking upon the clear understanding that we cannot be liable if you do not inform us of such a condition and an airline or cruiseline refuses to accept you or any member of your party as a passenger. (iii) You must be responsible for the behaviour of yourself and your party. We reserve reasonable discretion to refuse your booking or to remove you or a member of your party from any tour or holiday, if your demeanour or behaviour, or that of a member of your party, is disruptive, dangerous or annoying to other people. No refund or payment of any costs incurred by you will be made by us under these circumstances. (iv) You are responsible for the carriage and care of your luggage throughout your holiday except for such times as it may be in the hands of an airline; where in such circumstances the airlines specific terms and conditions relating to the carriage of baggage will apply. Please ensure that your luggage is loaded on to all transport and be careful to take the correct luggage with you when you leave any mode of transport. (v) Cruise ships have a limited number of cabins adapted for use by those with restricted mobility and are limited as to the number of disabled passengers or passengers with reduced mobility that they can carry. Cruise lines reserve the right to refuse the carriage of any person if carrying such a passenger would breach applicable safety requirements or law. Cruise lines also reserve the right to refuse carriage if the design of the vessel and / or the port

No claim arising directly or indirectly from a Pre-existing Medical Condition affecting an Insured Person will be covered unless: You have declared that condition to the Underwriters; and You have declared any changes in your health or prescribed medication; and The Underwriters have accepted that condition or change in condition for insurance in writing prior to departure. (A full definition is shown in the policy document available on request.) To declare a Pre-existing Medical Condition or a change in your state of health or prescribed medication, you should contact First Assist Medical Screening Department Tel. No. 0845 070 2849. Failure to declare any Pre-existing Medical Condition that is relevant to the insurance may invalidate the Policy. Material Facts: You must declare all material facts that are likely to affect this insurance. Failure to do so may prejudice your entitlement to claim. If you are uncertain as to whether a fact is material, you should declare it to the Underwriters. Policy limits: Most sections of your policy have limits on the amount the insurer will pay under that section. Some sections also include other specific limits, for example, for any one item or for valuables in total. You are advised to check your policy if you intend taking expensive items with you. Trip Limits: The policy contains strict limits on the length of time you can spend travelling abroad on each trip. Travelling or intending to travel in excess of the trip limits will invalidate any claims relating to that particular trip. Age Limit: No section of the policy shall apply in respect of any Insured Person who has reached the age of 85 years at the date of application.
