Lyrically, Hayden also continues his strength in crafting stories that will range from the highly autobiographical Almost Everything to strangely unsettling Just Give Me A Name, and goes as far as leaving specific direction of what to do with his body when he dies Instructions. There isnt a particular recording story around this album, Hayden explains. I didnt go record in a Norwegian Village or at the bottom of a shrimp vessel. I walked upstairs where every instrument has a microphone and hit record. And, as usual, the songs came together over a long period of time. I was moving away from so many records now (including some of my past work) where every song features an overwhelming number of instruments; its often hard to replicate things like that live. I wanted the sound of five people walking into a room and playing a full set. With the exception of some stellar help from friends on a song or two, those five people were mostly just me... Us Alone is a subtle, emotional and sonically warm journey written and performed by one of Canadas most consistent artists.

LEGENDARY SAXOPHONIST & COMPOSER WAYNE SHORTER RETURNS TO BLUE NOTE RECORDS AFTER 43 YEARS WITH RELEASE OF HIS NEW QUARTET ALBUM WITHOUT A NET
The legendary jazz saxophonist and composer Wayne Shorter has re-signed to Blue Note Records, and will release his first album as a leader for the iconic label in 43 years with the release of Without A Net, his searing new album with his long-running quartet featuring pianist Danilo Perez, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Brian Blade. Shorterwho will be entering his 80th year in 2013first recorded for Blue Note in 1959 as the precocious 26-year-old tenor saxophonist (and prolific composer) in Art Blakeys Jazz Messengers, which brought him to the attention of label founder Alfred Lion who eventually signed him to his own recording deal. Shorter went on to make a spectacular run of classic albums for Blue Note between 1964-1970 including Night Dreamer, Juju, Speak No Evil, Adams Apple, Schizophrenia, and Super Nova during a period of time that also paralleled Shorters years with Miles Davis, first as a member of the trumpeters trailblazing quintet, and later as a part of Davis early fusion masterpieces. Without A Net is a 9-track musical thrill ride that consists of live recordings from the Wayne Shorter Quartets European tour in late 2011, the one exception being the 23-minute tone poem Pegasus which features the quartet with The Imani Winds recorded at Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The album features six new Shorter compositions, as well as new versions of his tunes Orbits (from Miles Davis Miles Smiles album) and Plaza Real (from the Weather Report album Procession). The quartet also reinvents the title song from the 1933 musical film Flying Down To Rio, which film buffs (such as Shorter) know as the first on-screen pairing of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Follow-up to 2011s American debut for this adventurous English metal bevy. The album featuring guest performances from Mirai (Sigh), Roibeard O Bogail (Mael Mordha), and artwork by Scotland-based painter Aisha Al-Sadie. Marketing information: Sonderkommando is an extremely dark recording that was in-part inspired by vocalist Metatrons 2011 trip to Auswitch. He shares, it is a cold, eerie place where death laughs and the world spins blindly past. I couldnt even begin to imagine the suffering of the children here. I forgot about Jews and Nazis for a moment and just looked upon pure hatred, and human beings slaughtered for sadistic self gratification under the veil of a flawed ideology.

Merle Haggard The Complete 60s Capitol Singles

Merle Haggard is a household name, one of the best-known country music singers of all time. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the awards, honors, and accolades in his long career are too numerous to list. Haggard is simply one of the greatest country music stars in the history of the genre. From Swinging Doors in 1965 until the end of the decade, Haggard had an incredible string of hit records. The Fugitive (b/w Someone Told My Story) was his first #1 single, and was a composition by Liz Anderson, Lynn Andersons mother. I Threw Away The Rose b/w Loneliness Is Eating Me Alive went to #2 on the charts in late 1966. Branded Man went to #1, and was backed by a remake of an earlier Tally number (co-written by Joe Red Simpson), You Dont Have Very Far To Go. Sing Me Back Home b/w Good Times was another #1 smash, in the fall of 1967. The Legend Of Bonnie And Clyde b/w I Started Loving You Again was yet another chart topper.
