1. Literary Theory is the body of ideas and methods we use in the practical reading of literature. By literary theory we refer not to the meaning of a work of literature but to the thoeries that reveal what literature can mean. Literary theory refers to any principles derivied from internal analysis of literary texts or from knowledge external to the text that can be applied in multiple interpretive situations. One hand, theory provides rational for what constitutes the subject matter of criticism and specific aims critical practice (the act of interpretation itself). 2. 3. New Criticism New Criticism views the work of literature as an aesthetic object independent of historical context and New Criticism stresses close reading of the text itself. Furthermore, New Criticism purposes to bring a intellectual rigor to literary studies. Confining itself to to careful of the text itself and formal structure of paradox, ambiguity, irony, and metaphor, among others. 4. Intentional Fallacy is the original meaning of the author is not the most important or correct interpretation of the work. In other word, the readers have more freedom to to interpret what they want from the informations they receive. Affective Fallacy is the response of the reader is relevant to understang a text and uses it as the focus of approaching a work of literature. 6. The role of a reader in Reader Response theory is to examine the scope and variety of reader reactions and analyze the ways in which different readers, sometimes called interpretive communities, make meaning out of both purely personal reaction or cuturally conditioned ways of reading. The readers are given such a prilege upon a text. It means that readers can explore much their intrepretation to text. Besides, the text will be able to be understood when it is red and interacted with mind of the readers. In this case, the readers are not passive recipent of what the text says, but rather takes an active role. 7. Marxist literary theory tends to focus on representation of class conflict as well as the reinforcement of class distinctions through the medium of literature. Marxist theory uses traditional techniques of literary analysis but subordinate aesthetic concerns to the final social and political meanings of literature.

Ideology is the system of beliefs or ideas of an economic and political system, this definition is taken from Marxist criticism. Marxist literary critic sees the text using Critical Theory, it

is to distinction between the high cultural heritage of Europe and the mass culture produced by capitalist societies as an instrument of dominant.

Psychoanalysis critic sees people in literary world; First, it focuses on the author: the thoery is used to analyze the authors life and literary work is seen to supply evidence for this analysis. Seco nd, it focuses on characters: the theory is used to analyze one or more of the characters. The psychological theory becomes a tool that to explain the characters behavior and motivations. Third, it focuses on the readers: the theory is used to explain the appeal of the work for those who read it. It is seen to relize universal human psychological processes and motivations.
