Fuengirola Bioparc Zoo Costa del Sol

Fuengirola is a lively, bustling town and of f ers many shops, bars, restaurants and one of the biggest and loveliest beaches on the Costa del Sol, but did you know that slap-bang in the center of the town you can also f ind one of its most popular attractions? If you are planning on visiting the Costa del Sol this summer, why not head to the Fuengirola Bioparc Z oo where you can see a host of birds, mammals and reptiles f rom all over the world. Formerly known as the Fuengirola Z oo, it has in recent years undergone a large amount of work f ocusing on the architectural design of the Z oo. It was also renamed to the Fuengirola Bioparc as the owners f elt that it best described the experience in which the visitors are immersed into the animals surroundings which gives you the impression that you are at one with them within their natural habitat. T he Bioparc has three main areas which include Madagascar, Equatorial Af rica and South East Asia. A number of the animals in these areas are considered to be in danger of extinction including one of the most recent editions, Geluk the Pygmy Hippopotamus.

If you need a break f rom looking at the animals and need ref reshments, there is a lovely restaurant on of f er selling nice cold drinks and tasty snacks. T here is also a shop where you can buy those all important souvenirs of your stay and a childrens area to let the little ones burn of f some energy.

When Is T he Bioparc Z oo Open? T he Fuengirola Bioparc Z oo is open every single day of the year f rom 10am and closes at around 6pm. In July and August, the Z oo closes at midnight. How Much Does It Cost? Access costs 17.50 f or adults, 12.10 f or children and pensioners over 65.
