Map route and perception Profile locations 1.

The Jetty Entrance after the jetty turn left through the village *Note how the next two sites are reverse numbered; refer to map Outside a Bike Shop on the main street along the main street turn left at an open area, walk past an open-air restaurant on left, road uneven due to tree root damage. The Village Centre, An open area with a couple of restaurants, more bike shops and some grocery stores selling junk food. Keep following the road straight ahead, past a toilet block on left until a large lake is spotted on right. Recreational Area, Basketball Court Disused granite Quarry on right, now filled with water. Careful of the snakes here. Continue on road until road junction is reached. Road Junction, notice board At the junction bear right following the signpost to Noordin. You will go up a slight hill. Old Kampong on your left Continue up hill until summit is reached followed by a road junction. Turn left at the signposts to Noordin Beach. Road Junction with sign board At junction follows signs to Noordin beach, turn Left Bottom of hill, bridge over creek, shelter opposite

10. Signboard, old Derelict overgrown area on right, read bends to left, continue on asphalt road. 11. Noordin Beach Take a photo of your self with the Noordin beach sign in the background. Without this picture you cannot score full marks for the investigation section. Now back track to site 9 and at the T junction turn left and walk for 400m 12. Brow of Hill, Kampong to left, Multiple road signs Beware mad teachers crushing on bikes ignoring signs to dismount 13. Murai Hut Note site 13 on the map is a little off the route. The abandoned rubber plantations (trees have scars from rubber tapping) with hut behind you drop down fairly straight well defined track through old plantation. Keep on this rather pretty but rutted main dirt track down hill heading towards the orchid gardens. Watch for crashed teachers. Approach garden, observe sign on left, Arrive at Orchid garden and stop for a drink and admire the wild life. 14. Orchid Garden. Walk through the orchid garden following the path. Creek on left sniff third plant on you right. Watch for wild animals 15. Concrete wall with view of Malaysia Note people traps in water 16. Chalets on your right, Maman Campsite Possibly a working toilet, 17. Beach, a slipway on left, oyster farm, and tarmac road begins walk down the tarmac road towards Kampong Melayu. Follow this main road for some distance, past Murai hut (again) with abandoned rubber planation 18. Blue Kampong house area with soar panels to rear drink stop on opposite side of road, Continue back along the road once travelled but at junction past Belatok hut go straight on at junction back towards village 19. Kampong on the right, sometime with a drink for sale sign, with fishing ponds on the left Note junction with road off to left but go straight ahead. Walk towards the village and just before the basketball court (boarded up area) turn left at junction with tarmac road (a little hidden by over growth) and a stretch of vegetarian on left which is the site of the former school, long since closed.
