What is POS Hayat? POS Hayat is a group life insurance product for customers of POS Malaysia Berhad under the master policy of POS Malaysia Berhad. The product benefit provides coverage against death. What are the covers/benefits provided? Period of Coverage: 1 year. The Certificate of Insurance is yearly renewable upon payment of annual premium up to age 70 years old. What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of? Importance of disclosure - You must disclose all important facts that will affect Your risk profile, such as Your occupation and Your age correctly. If You fail to inform Us in the event of any change in Your occupation, we may deny Your coverage. A Grace Period of 31 days from the certificate anniversary will be allowed for the payment of renewal premium during which the Certificate of Insurance is still inforce. After the end of Grace Period, if premium remains unpaid, the Certificate of Insurance will lapse and have no insurance coverage.

What are the major exclusions under this plan? Death benefit is NOT payable if the Life Assured dies due to Dueling; the hand of justice; or commiting or attempting to commit an unlawful act under Malaysian Law. Additional Accidental Death Benefit is NOT payable if death is caused by: assault or murder, riot, suicide, under the influence of alcohol, drugs abuse, pregnancy, pre-existing disabilities, dangerous pursuits and occupation like boxing, diving and acrobat. Can I cancel my Certificate of Insurance? If Your Certificate of Insurance has been issued and for any reason whatsoever You have decided to cancel Your Certificate of Insurance, You can return the Certificate of Insurance to Us for cancellation. If the request of cancellation is received by Us within the period of fifteen (15) days from the delivery date of the Certificate of Insurance, You are entitled to a refund of the premium paid, without interest. If You cancel the Certificate of Insurance after fifteen (15) days from the delivery date of Your Certificate of Insurance, Your Certificate of Insurance will be terminated on the following Anniversary Date without any refund of premium paid.
