MOOTSMOOTSMOOTSMOOTSMOOTS ANDANDANDANDAND MEETINGSMEETINGSMEETINGSMEETINGSMEETINGS

Trothmoot is held during the first or second weekend in June, alter- nating between the center of the U.S. and the two coasts. Activities have included workshops, crafts demonstrations, blots and other rituals, oracular seidh, and the grand sumbel. Trothmoot has proved to be a good place for net- working, making new friends, and just hanging out, Norse-style. Troth members and officers also sponsor and attend regional moots such as the Mid-America moot and Aegir’s Fest on the west coast. The High Steward is coordinating the actvities of Regional Stewards, and we are in the process of devel- oping materials to support them in providing information and encour- agement to individuals and groups seeking to learn about the North- ern tradition.

One of the Troth’s most useful of- ferings is the Clergy Training Pro- gram. Under the current system, candidates must complete the Godwo/man (ministerial) program first before going on to study to be Elders . An on-line discussion list is helping to solve the problem of communication. moral support for trainees who are scattered all over the country.
