ana Francis is raising three kids, running a multi-million-dollar startup company, and charming everyone she meets. Janas motivation to start her own company came on her drive back to her corporate job after maternity leave with her latest baby. After 18 months of planning she launched BabySteals. com in April of 2008. She left her 12-year career in the corporate world six months later. She pours her whole self into everything she takes on and does it all with irresistible zest.
hett received his B.A. in Marketing from the University of Idaho. He has extensive experience in managing, building and marketing web sites. His track record for creating innovation has grabbed the attention of Google and other mountainous companies. Rett is always up for a challenge and develops vertical growth with each project he tackles. As an adventurer, Rett faces opportunities with a tactical aggressiveness, yet hes humble enough to understand the value of collaboration and teamwork.

JON SCHMIDT
The Piano Guys
on Schmidt began songwriting at age 11. He now has over one million YouTube subscribers with nearly 200 million views from his project called The Piano Guys. He is currently working on this project with Steven Sharp Nelson. They became an internet sensation because of their original self-made music videos. Some popular videos include, Cello Wars and Peponi (Paradise) . Jon is a very talented pianist; his work is often described as New Age music with pop elements of hook and melody. He was born in Bountiful, Utah. He has released eight albums and seven piano books with original arrangements. He is noted for his treatment of harmony, counterpoint, and rhythm. His works were also featured on sample discs for the Iomega Hipzip Digital Audio Player with the pieces Sacred Ground All of Me and Waterfall Schmidts , , . influences include Mannheim Steamroller, Billy Joel, and Beethoven.

Dean of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, Cofounder of the Center for Executive Development
ouglas D. Anderson is a professor, and since 2006, Dean of the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Prior to becoming Dean, he was co-founder and managing partner of the Boston-based Center for Executive Development (CED), a company that for 20 years was at the forefront of its field, offering customized executive education and guidance with large-scale, strategic change initiatives in the worlds most complex organizations. At the invitation of the senior partners of PriceWaterhouse-US and PriceWaterhouseEurope, he served as outside chairman of the partnerships Task Force on Governance.

A native of Logan, he is a graduate of USU and has stayed actively involved with USU over the years, serving as a member and vice chair of the USU Board of Trustees. His Ph.D. is from Harvard University. He was a member of the Harvard Business School faculty from 1978-1988.

SCOTT WATTERSON
cott R. Watterson is Chairman and CEO of the worlds largest manufacturer and marketer of fitness equipment, Icon Health & Fitness. The company is located in Logan, Utah. Scott is an expert in product development, manufacturing, importation, marketing, sales and distribution of consumer products. Scott graduated from Utah State University, Cum Laude, in 1979 with a degree in business marketing and a minor in Chinese. He has received multiple business awards, including the Skaggs Outstanding Business Student Award and the Kiwanis Business Student of the Year Award. Scott was the recipient of INC. Magazine Entrepreneur of the Year for the Inter-Mountain Region in 1996. Scott is currently serving on the Utah State University Board of Trustees.

rom transforming an old soup kitchen into a boutique hotel to starting a chain of vintage hamburger restaurants, the Abdos have made business a family affair. Larry and his wife Caryl, have four children who all work for one Abdo enterprise or another and have since they were kids. Larry started making money in the stock market by wagering the proceeds of his student loans. After graduating college he served in the Army, opened a one-man brokerage house, and then sold it to start an ice company. Larry and Caryls portfolio includes companies involved in real estate, food services, and even a block-ice company.

He was the youngest speaker ever to earn The Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation and has been inducted into the National Speakers Association Speakers Hall of Fame.

CHARLES SORENSON
harles W. Sorenson, MD, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Intermountain Healthcare. Under Dr. Sorensons leadership, Intermountain has applied a disciplined and system-wide focus on implementation of best clinical practices aimed at producing measurably better outcomes for patients. Similar efforts are being applied to operational best practices, aimed at increasing efficiency and holding down healthcare costs. Intermountain is an integrated, nonprofit health care system serving communities in Utah and southern Idaho. The mission of Intermountain is to provide the highest quality health care at the lowest possible cost. The mission includes a commitment to provide care to any individual with a medical need, regardless of ability to pay. Dr. Sorenson, a graduate of the Cornell University Medical College, began his practice at LDS Hospital in 1982. Along with his administrative responsibilities, he continues to practice surgery with a focus on urologic oncology. He is also an Adjunct Professor of Surgery at the University of Utah.

an Nebeker is a Salt Lake native and the manager of Bluehouse Ski Company. Dan built out the companys manufacturing facility, designed several of its machines, and taught himself the art of ski building. Dan is a highly resourceful individual and can solve any problem that stands in his way. Dan is a better skier than Adam and Jared.
ared Richards is a SLC native, attorney, skier and entrepreneur striving to have a net positive effect on the community. Whether hosting free legal clinics for business startups or building skis through locally sourced materials and labor - his end goals are value and sustainability.

dam Hepworth is CEO and founder of Jamberry Nails as well as co-founder of Bluehouse Ski Company. Bluehouse is a Salt Lake based snow ski manufacturer currently in its 5th season where Adam has served as lead product engineer, winning awards for his designs. His latest venture, Jamberry Nails, launched in Oct 2010 and has quickly become an industry leader in finger and toenail fashion. He majored in Portuguese at BYU and had aspirations of becoming a dentist before the entrepreneurial bug took over his career path.

ydni Tetro is currently an Entrerpeneur in Residence for The Walt Disney Company where she helps take Disney technologies to market. Her expertise is in sales, marketing, and customer acquisition. Over the course of her career she has helped dozens of startups successfully build, launch, sell and market new products and services. She has served as CEO of a media company and was COO for FamilyLink.com, a social network for families with over 80 Million users. It was the fastest growing website in the country during her time. Cydni has been recognized as one of the 30 Women to Watch and was a finalist in the American Business Association Best Women Entrepreneur. She has her MBA and BS in Computer Science from BYU.

Students in any major are invited to earn a minor in entrepreneurship. Students that complete the minor will: Learn how to start and launch a new business Work on their own business idea while completing the minor Use state-of-the-art learning technology during the program Gain knowledge and tools to increase the probability for success Develop entrepreneurial leadership skills that will benefit any organization
In addition to a world-class curriculum and expert faculty, the minor in entrepreneurship has a unique learning format that focuses on the application of proven concepts in actual business ventures. Students will complete the following courses during the program: MGT 3510: New Venture Fundamentals MGT 3520: New Venture Management MGT 3530: New Venture Marketing MGT 3540: New Venture Financing MGT 3560: New Venture Planning MGT 3570: New Venture Social Responsibility
All classes needed to complete the minor are offered each school year. In addition, students can complete the minor in one summer with our unique 6-week program.
