Tawfik Oussaid ID : 4370429 MARK 922 Overview For our Marketing Management project, we have chosen Teka, one

of the market leaders of stainless steel equipment and we focused on the company branch located in UAE. First, Omar Bouzoubaa has met the managing director of the company and asked him some global questions about the company in Dubai, then we had several meetings in which we divided and assigned tasks to each group member and discussed the work in progress of each one. The main parts of the project were an overview of the company, the PESTEL analysis, the competitive environment of the company, a SWOT analysis, customer needs and market potential, market strategy, market objectives and finally marketing mix. Individual part of the project The main parts I worked on for the project are the global presentation of the company, and the SWOT analysis, stating and describing the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threads that Teka faces in the UAE market. After getting the answers of questions about Teka, I made a complementary research about Teka in order to complete the information I need. Concerning the SWOT analysis, I used the information I got to find the main strengths and weaknesses of the company within the UAE market. For the opportunities and threads of Teka, I had to make a research about the external factors that directly affect the company and can have an influence of its economical aspect. Group meetings All the group members officially met every week end and in each meeting, we discussed the work done by each members and exchanges ideas and advices for the future work. All group members were highly involved in the project and made their assignments competently. Marketing concepts learnt As I have engineering background, most of the concepts used for the project were new to me. Indeed, I had to make a research about each concept we used in the project, PESTEL

analysis, marketing mix, and of course the SWOT analysis which was the opart I was assigned to. I also learned how to apply that concept to Teka, and how to deal with primary and secondary sources. Challenges and difficulties faced I faced a lot of difficulties during the implementation of the project. Indeed, as I have a bachelor in Engineering and Management science, I had to repeat most of the parts I made many times because I used to choose more scientific words, while I was supposed to talk as a marketer and use more technical marketing words. I faced that challenge and finally learned from that project the logic of thinking and expressing like a marketer.
