MPA PROGRAM 2013/15

Dear Applicant,

I am Pleased to note your interest in participating in the above program. Before you fill in the Application, I would like you to note the following. a) The MPA program is open for participation by public servants attached to all Ministries, Departments, Provincial Councils, District Administration, Local Government, Private sector and NGOs. b) The Minimum qualification required to apply is a Bachelors Degree in a relevant field or a professional qualification recognized by the Institute as being equivalent to a Bachelors Degree of a University. c) Prospective participants are expected to send in their applications on the PIM form that is supplied, endorsed by the respective heads of institutions. d) This endorsement will be construed as a commitment to allow the participant leave of absence from office three Saturdays a month to attend six hour group learning sessions. Please bring this to the attention of the Head of your Institution. e) The appropriate section to provide their endorsement is the section on Finance where you mark X in the cage sponsored and get the signature of the Head of the Institution, preferably with his official seal. You dont need this endorsement if you decide to finance the course privately. f) Closing date for application is 31st January 2013. g) All applicants will sit for a written test and face an interview for selection.

h) The program is of two year duration. It uses a unique blended learning system with course modules, interactive CDs, Web Forum and Group Learning, enabling you to study where you are located. For details, please see the program Brochure sent to Heads of Departments or obtain a copy at the PIM. i) j) Courses will commence in May 2013. The fee per selected participant is Rs. 290,000-, payable in 3 installments, as follows: On Admission 15th January 2014 15th January 2015 Rs. 90,000 Rs. 100,000 Rs. 100,000

When notified, you will have to obtain leave of absence from office to attend the written examination and subsequently the interview.
