Looking for a Christ-centered study to help you and/or others find freedom from eating and body image issues? Finding Balance with Food combines video teachings by FINDING balance founder, Constance Rhodes, plus group sharing, and weekly art projects to help women uncover the roots of their issues with food while making new friends in a safe environment. Who is the curriculum for? Women 18+ who desire a healthier relationship with food and are seeking (or open to) a faith-based solution. Is it only for thin people? Participants (and leaders) may be overweight, underweight, or somewhere in-between. Size is not what matters. What connects us all is the sometimes unhealthy ways we manage food and a collective desire to find freedom in this area. Goal of the group? To move away from carelessness and obsession, toward respect. Our core verse for the study is 1 Cor. 6:12, which states ...All

When moving furniture, etc. in the church, please refrain from dragging items across the floor. Plan to have enough help with you to pick it up and move it or put a blanket underneath it so it will slide without scraping the floor. ~ Thank You ~

Before you welcome a new pathway this year, pray and ask God if it is the right path for you.
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:3-5

WLBC Praying for SAUDI ARABS OF SAUDI ARABIA. Nearly 27 percent of Saudis age 20 to 29 are unemployed. Although families often continue to provide for their needs, many young Saudis feel disillusioned as they face unemployment in a culture that values prosperity and status. Please pray that in the midst of these uncertainties, Saudis will realize that true fulfillment and value can only be found in God. Ask that they will hear and receive the Gospel.

How Often do They Change the Rope?
There is a story about a monastery in Europe perched high on a cliff several hundred feet in the air.The only way to reach the monastery was to be suspended in a basket which was pulled to the top by several monks who pulled and tugged with all their strength. Obviously the ride up the steep cliff in that basket was terrifying. One tourist got exceedingly nervous about half-way up as he noticed that the rope by which he was suspended was old and frayed. With a trembling voice he asked the monk who was riding with him in the basket how often they changed the rope. The monk thought for a moment and answered brusquely, "Whenever it breaks."
