Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. 1 John 2:6 NLT How did Jesus live each day? Is it really possible for us to live as He lived? Here are five th in g s to con sider: The first is His dependency. So Jesus answered them by saying, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, the Son is able to do nothing of Himself (of His own accord); but He is able to do only what He sees the Father doing, for whatever the Father does is what the Son does in the same way. John 5:19 AMP Jesus lived each day depen den t upon His Fath er. He did n ot live in depen den tly, th in k in depen den tly, or act in depen den tly of His Fath er. He spoke wh at His Fath er wan ted Him to say an d He did wh at His Fath er wan ted Him to do. He received from His Fath er all He n eeded for each day. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing. John 15:5 AMP We can also live each day in complete depen den cy upon th e Lord. He is our stren g th , our life, our sufficien cy, an d He is th e source of all we n eed. The second is His faithfulness. Think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be Gods messenger and High Priest.For He was faithful to God, who appointed Him. Hebrews 3:1-2 NLT Jesus lived each day in faith fuln ess to wh at His Fath er called Him to do. Jesus stayed true to His Fath ers plan an d will for His life. Jesus n ot on ly obeyed His Fath er, but He obeyed Him with out delay. He obeyed willin g ly an d joyfully. So you must live as Gods obedient children. 1 Peter 1:14 NLT

Obedien ce to Gods will in our lives is a ch oice we can make each day. As Gods ch ildren , He train s us to be obedien t because He kn ows wh at is best for us. It is th roug h our obedien ce th at we kn ow th e mean in g of a joy-filled h eart an d a mean in g ful life. The fourth thing is His motivation. And He who sent Me is with Me. The Father has not left Me alone, for I always do those things that please Him. John 8:29 NKJV Th e reason Jesus lived th e way He did was because He wan ted to fully g lorify an d please His Fath er. He lived to please on ly His Fath er an d h ave His approval. Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. 2 Corinthians 5:9 NKJV Th e motivation of our h earts sh ould be to please Him. Th ere is n oth in g h ig h er th an th at. Wh en we live to do wh at is well pleasin g in His sig h t we will kn ow His smile of approval upon our lives. The fifth thing is His enabling. Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirits power. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, for He has anointed Me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free. Luke 4:14, 18 NLT Jesus was filled with th e Holy Spirit. Jesus lived each day in th e presen ce an d th e power of th e Holy Spirit. All th at He did in His public min istry was un der th e an oin tin g an d en ablin g of th e Holy Spirit. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them. Ezekiel 36:27 NKJV Be filled with the Spirit.
