SCHOOL COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP

In as much as the students in Balian National High School are dominated by those residing in the municipality of Pangil, it is expected that the people of the town are aware of the condition of the students, this is one of the reasons why there are various support provided by the local officials, private individuals, alumni and other people of the community such as the following: a. The assistance provided by the Municipal Mayor in the school feeding program wherein she provided one (1) cavan of rice every month for the period of ten months. b. The regular conduct of Parent-Teacher Conference gave way for the teachers to invite parents and be involved in the projects being implemented in the school like in carrying out BRIGADA ESKWELA. c. In the same manner, participation to community programs and project like Intelligence Cup, Poster Making Contest, Population Education Quiz Bee, Gabi ng Parangal, for the people who contributed a lot in the improvement of the Municipality of Pangil Conduct of Drug Prevention Symposium by the members of Philippine National Police d. Fire and Earthquake Drill e. Participation in the commemoration of Rizal Day f. Participation of Kunday Balian, the Dance Troupe of Balian National High School to any program of the Municipal Government

5. RESOURCE GENERATION AND FUND MANAGEMENT

As far as fund is concerned, the following sources help support the projects and activities of Balian National High School: a. Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE) Regular DepEd Allocation- the allotment of the fund coming from MOOE was used based on the priority projects and programs set in the Annual Improvement Plan (2012-2013) b. Local School Board- a letter of request addressed to concern local officials of the community is being made to avail of the fund from Local School Board. The condition of the school is being presented to the officials through a Local School Board meeting called by the District Supervisor and Municipal Mayor of the town. c. PTA Voluntary Contribution- there is certain amount agreed upon by the parents of the students of Balian National High School used to pursue some priority school development projects.

d. Balikbayan or Private Individuals-the assistance of Balikbayan residing in the school locality and other philanthropists are being sought to augment the needs of the school in terms of material/financial resources. e. Alumni- graduates of Balian National High School are being informed of the needs of the school by inviting them during school programs and their help was being sought in terms of financial and even human resources particularly those who are skilled in different fields. f. Canteen fund-the school activities are being supported also by the income coming from the school canteen, the assistance is being made by means of giving transportation fare, snacks and allowance for teachers and students attending to activities outside the school. g. Fund Raising Projects-the Faculty Club officers together with the PTA officers organized projects to support and meet the objectives of the educational programs set before the start of the school-year.
