On the 27th after Worship, the Girl Scouts are hosting a Soup and Sandwich Dinner

January 8th7:00 Standing Committee and the Trustees meet.

The Choir will rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. The dates are the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and the 30th. January 9th at 6:45 Christian Ed Board will meet.

January 12th at 5:30 pm. there is a LIFT meeting. LIFT stands for Ladies in Faith Together. January 20th is the Annual Meeting. After the meeting SHPF will meet.
There will be NO Wacky Wednesdays this month at all!!

Standing Committee Minutes December 4, 2012 3

January
Chair Terry Hoenig called the meeting to order at 7:10 pm and meeting opened with prayer. Terry Hoenig, Harley Morton, Mike Hasenclever, Kathy Blanchard, Mariellis Hasenclever, Sherry McKee, Jeff Weisinger, Kjrsten Bobb, and Pastor Chad present. The November 6, 2012 minutes were reviewed and Mike made motion to approve minutes, seconded by Kathy Blanchard. Minutes approved as read. The treasurer reported the total balance is $5,528.87, of which the multimedia balance is $5,113.20 and the remainder designated to missions. Harley made motion to approve, Mike seconded and report approved as read. Old business: Multimedia project. Terry purchased two chairs for the booth and submitted receipt. Terry discussed the direction to have the project go to trustees for completion. Discussion that the funds will be available for the A/V project. Pastor Chad will be meeting with local A/V expert for advice the first week of January. Kathy is ordering carpet. Church history update. The church history will be addressed by the by-laws committee. Kathy will incorporate this into the by-laws committee meeting agenda. No by-laws committee update. Local missions money will be distributed this month to food pantry. Discussion regarding the mission fund and needing to raise more money for local mission fund. Committee is planning to do a meal on February 24, during Lent, with free will donation to local mission fund. Schedule for opening church and communion: Mike will take care of January. th 175 Anniversary Celebration Update: upcoming January planning activities include putting together a brochure of the church and video. Live Nativity scene planned for December 13 and 14. Kathy will make soup for the Dec 13 and Kjrsten will make chili for Dec 14. Each standing committee member will provide 2 dozen cookies for the December 19 Christmas music event. Mike and Jeff will help set up the nativity scene.

FM community Thanksgiving Dinner many volunteers from Denmark Church helped and 30 pies were delivered to the dinner. The shoebox ministry went well 111 boxes were prepared for boys and girls from the church. Discussed historical minute that is shared during the Sunday service lots of positive feedback received. Harley has contacted the associate conference minister for assistance in pastoral evaluation forms. Sherry suggested ordering more bulletins because we have been running out on Sundays. Committee agreed to purchase more bulletins.

New business: Nominating committee. Terry will serve on the nominating committee for standing committee Annual report: Kjrsten will prepare the written report and Kathy will prepare the financial report. Pastor report: The conference has some organizational changes and restructuring with its staff and responsibilities to the associations. Two Christmas Eve services are planned for 5 pm and 9 pm. Discussed newsletters and having newsletters available on Sundays for pickup and newsletters that are not picked up will be mailed.

Next meeting date is Tuesday, January 8 at 7 pm. Meeting adjourned at 8:50 pm with Lords Prayer.
