EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The recommendations that result from this study are to add the following topics to improve the college canteen service: Negative effect of Delivery of service Lack of manpower. Supporting these recommendations are the following findings and conclusions drawn from the survey. The data shows that the service provided by the canteen is not very effective. They take more time to deliver the food and availability of limited number of food items. The data show that the 65% of the student visit frequently to canteen. Rest of the student either visit twice in a week or rarely to canteen as they are not satisfied with canteen services and working condition of staff. The quality of food is good but the delivery of service is not up to the mark as there is lack of manpower.

THE PROBLEM AND THE PLAN Objective of the Survey The objective of the study is to find mean of improvement of college canteen service. For achieving this objective, the plan involved first determines the services and method for effective service. This information will be used in improvement of college canteen service. Importance of Survey The methodology used in this report was an distribution of questionnaire among 20 canteen customer (college student).By this survey we come to know about the service, manpower, quality of food and availability of food items. ANALYSIS OF SURVEY Analysis of survey was doing in four categories. 1. Visit to canteen in a week 2. Quality of food 3. Limited availability of food items.

As shown in above figure, the student who visit to canteen on daily basis is about( 65%).and student who visit twice a week is about(20%) and student who visit rarely is(15%).this shows there are maximum number of student who depends for lunch in canteen. so the service quality of canteen need improvement.

2. Quality of food. Quality food items

As shown in above Figure,80% of the student are satisfied the quality of food provided by the canteen and rest 20% student are not satisfied with the quality of food in canteen. Clearly, from the above figure we can say that the quality of food is maintained.

3. Limited availability of food items. Availability of limited food items

According to the survey it is found that student (about 70%) are not satisfied with the limited availability of food items. As mention above students are satisfied with the quality of food but they are getting bored by eating same food everyday so they want to include some new more items in the menu cards so they will get some change.

The above figure shows that there is a lack of manpower in canteen that leads to delay in service. As student get only 1hour of break and still if the delivery of service is not in time its not suitable for the student to have their lunch in canteen because the shortage of manpower for work.

CONCLUSION
The conclusion reached in preceding sections suggests certain action that college canteen service should improve in following topics: Improvement in delivery of service More availability of food items More manpower Improvement in working condition
