We are City-Focused
Our church values our city. We want to be a church that extends its area of responsibility beyond the congregation. We want others to not only be aware that we exist, but be glad that we do, whether or not they are part of the church or not. This is why we have made it a point to be relevant in our neighboring community. We have very close relationships with St. Lukes Medical Center in Global City, as we serve their employees and patients through visitation, prayer, and midweek service at their chapel. Weve also partnered with the Barangay Fort Bonifacio government and supported projects in our area. We joined the launch of a new playground last October 10, as well as the reading room inauguration last November 27. We pray our city will truly flourish holistically as a community, and we want to do what we can to see this vision a reality.

Supporting Barangay Fort Bonifacio

Heroes Church is located in Bonifacio Global City, whose legal address is Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig. As part of our commitment to be relevant to our city, we have partnered with the our local barangays efforts to uplift our community in Taguig. We hope we can contribute to the growth of our community as a whole.
On October 10, 2012, we joined the local barangay as it launched Play Pilipinas playground site in Fort Bonifacio. This coincided with the Global Handwashing Day and Safeguard played a great role as we taught kids the essence and how tos of handwashing. It was truly an enjoyable event as we met the barangay constituents and also the officials who were there to grace the event. On November 27, 2012, we again joined the local barangay as it inaugurated its reading room called Silid-Booklatan. A project of Booklat-isip, the new reading room seeks to provide an avenue for the constituents, especially the children, to get a hold of knowledge through reading valuable books. The launch day featured book readings, and story-telling for kids and mothers. For 2013, we hope we can be part of sustaining the flow of these endeavors. Join us as we seek to host events in the local barangay to foster the current establishments. We particularly want to focus on the reading room as an avenue to share our talents to the community.

Lets continue to love our city to life!

With Christmas, There is No Plan B by Zuriel Bernardino

Ive always believed that God has a plan for my life, but I used to think that if I make a mistake, Gods Plan A becomes Plan B. Christmas proves Ive never been so wrong.
Christmas has come again. Its a time of reunions, parties, gifts, and attending church. Its actually the time one can attend church every day and not be told ones head already bumped heaven. Yes, Christmas is here, and I cant thank God enough for the reason we celebrate it. In 2 Samuel 7:12-16, God had a message for King David:
When your days are over and you rest with your ancestors, I will raise up your offspring to succeed you, your own flesh and blood, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He is the one who will build a house for my Name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever. 14 I will be his father, and he will be my son. When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands. 15 But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you. 16 Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.

away for work. This has meant sacrificing relationships. Are you worried who will take care of your loved ones while youre gone? God is there. He has them in His hands. 2. Love (vv. 14-15) Ive always believed that God had a plan, but I used to think that if I make a mistake, Gods Plan A becomes Plan B. Walking on egg shells, I got some things right, but not everything, and eventually, the pressure to not make mistakes set me up for greater mistakes. If what I thought was correct, then Gods Plan wont only be B for me but will go way past Z, eventually leading me to despair whether Hes still got me in His plans. The Good News is yes, He does. This does not mean we are free from Gods discipline, but even His discipline shows that His love is always there. Have you committed mistake/s and you feel like this has separated you from God? Consider these mistakes as proof of our need for a Savior. The Good News is He has come.

3. Joy (v. 16) Many of us work hard to amount to something, whether it be fortune, fame, or even to matter to our family. We all want this, and to a certain extent, part of life is doing our best to succeed. How wonderful it is to know then that God wants to give us this, and when He does, He means forever? This takes unnecessary pressure off our backs and ushers in joy beyond what we can ever imagine and earn for ourselves. Are you sad, lonely, or struggling waiting for something for a long, long, time? Dont be. God has your house taken cared of. If you feel you have waited long, imagine God waiting forever to have us. The angel in Luke 2:10-11 got it right when he said, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you. Jesus birth shows us that with Christmas, there is no plan B. Together, let us trust in His great faithfulness. I wish you a blessed holiday season. May the Lords peace, love, and joy, be upon you, now as forever. Amen.

This text assures us three things: 1. Peace (vv. 12-13) For those who are facing death, or have experienced the tragedy of a departed loved one, Gods plan doesnt change even when we die. I will push liberally with the thought that sometimes days are over might not be physical for us, but geographical. There are many of us, our friends, family, who have gone
