Designed by Bonnie Sennott

Notes: The lower body is worked in one piece to armholes, then back and fronts are worked separately. The garter stitch button bands are worked at the same time as the body. For a smooth edge on button bands, slip first st of each row with yarn in front, as if to purl. On rows following buttonhole rows, knit the yarn overs through the back loop to tighten them up. Lower Body: With Color A and larger needles, CO 85 (91, 97) sts. Slipping first st of each row, work in garter st for 6 rows. For size 12 mos: Work Rows 112 of Little Wave Pattern 2 times, then work Rows 111 once more. For all sizes: Knit 3 rows. On the third knit row (WS), stop before the last st. Break Color A and bring yarn between needles to front. Knit last st with Color B with yarn in front. Turn work; ends of both colors will be on WS. Slip first st with yarn in front, as if to purl; st will be loose but can be tightened up when weaving in ends.
