God Saves the Best for Last By Jan Douglas Bish, Columnist & Middle East Analyst October

10, 2012 There are many great mysteries under Gods big blue heaven, in the spirit realm. Gods prophetic time clock runs in sync with the Hebrew calendar which tells us that this is the time for harvest. The seven feasts of Israel have been Gods way of showing us the prophecies that have been fulfilled and the truths yet to be revealed. Gods plan is not getting older, its getting better! The Most High God is working within the Hebrew calendar. When Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) was crucified and became the Sacrificial Lamb of God, it was a fulfillment of the feast of Passover. Jesus rose from the dead precisely on the feast of first fruits. Jesus then ascended into heaven and 50 days after Passover you see the outpouring of Gods Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost, otherwise known as the Hebrew feast of Shevuot (Sukkot), the beginning of harvest. The feast of Sukkot is a harvest feast, which is also known as the feast of ingathering. This feast should be celebrated throughout the church age and is in the process of being fulfilled prophetically. This is the time of harvest by the Spirit of the Living God. We have been in the time of harvest since the beginning of the church age and the giving of His Spirit so that we may live according to His power that is at work within us. In this world our focus has been on physical things like health, beauty, youth and being entertained as we begin and live through the spring of our earthly lives. In the autumn of our lives, according to this earthly realm, life starts to go downhill. But, have you ever noticed that Gods way is often, if not always opposite of our way. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, says the Lord. (Isaiah 55:8) While things get worse in this world, become old and fade away, it would do well for us to remember and acknowledge that God is saving the best for last! The things of God only get better! Rejoice and look up for your Redemption draws near. We can look toward the day when there is no more death, no more sorrow, no more pain because in Him all these things will pass away. Throw away all the worldly pursuits that hold no value. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal (Matthew 6:20) and pursue God because the greatest celebrations are right in front of us . . . * Trumpets (the catching up of the believers) 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 (called Rosh Hashana today). The Messiah will appear in the heavens as a Bridegroom coming for His bride, the Church. * Atonement (Second Coming of Jesus when He will return to earth) and they will look upon Him whom they have pierced, repent of their sins, and receive Him as their Messiah (Romans 11).

* Tabernacles (Called Sukkot today.) Points to the Lords promise that He will once again tabernacle with His people when He returns to reign over all of the world from Jerusalem (Micah 4:1-7). The Millennium! When times get tough, the tough get going. Everything is better with God. Your age does not make you old, it makes you mature. Maturity comes with wisdom and experience. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)We are not getting older and Gods plan just gets better!
