Bacarrat Baccarat is a wo hands, the arat coup has layer has the comparing card game played between

t "player" and the "banker." Each bacc three possible outcomes: "player" (p higher score), "banker," and "tie."

In Baccarat, cards 29 are worth face value, 10s a nd J, Q K are worth zero, and Aces are worth 1 poi nt. Hands are valued according to the rightmost di git of the sum of their constituent cards: for exa mple, a hand consisting of 2 and 3 is worth 5, but a hand consisting of 6 and 7 is worth 3 (the righ tmost digit of the total, 13). The highest possibl e hand value is 9. In the game, a "Baccarat" refer s to anything with a value of zero; in a hand of K , 4 and 6, the King is a "baccarat," and the hand value is also "baccarat." Blackjack The player or players are dealt an initial two car d hand and add the total of their cards. Face card s (Kings, Queens, and Jacks) are counted as ten po ints. The player and dealer can count their own Ac e as 1-point or 11 points. All other cards are cou nted as the numeric value shown on the card. After receiving their initial two cards, players have t he option of getting a "hit" (taking additional ca rds) to bring their total value of cards to 21 poi nts, or as close as possible without exceeding 21 (called "busting"). If a player holds an ace value d as 11, the hand is called "soft", meaning that t he player cannot go bust by taking an additional c ard; otherwise, the hand is "hard". The dealer has to take hits until his cards total 17 or more points. (In some casinos, the dealer al so hits on a "soft" 17, e.g. initial ace and six.) Players who do not bust and have a total higher t han the dealer, win. The dealer will lose if he or

she busts, or has a lesser hand than the player w ho has not busted. If the player and dealer have t he same point total, this is called a "push" and t he player typically does not win or lose money on that hand. Caribbean Stud To play, each player places his ante on a marked s pot on the table playing surface ("the layout") wh ere indicated; all ante wagers must be placed prio r to the dealer announcing "No more bets". Each pl ayer also has the option to participate in the pro gressive jackpot feature of the game. This is also done before the dealer announces "no more bets", by dropping a chip in the slot on the table which activates the progressive jackpot light for that s eat and that particular hand of play. Each player and the dealer will then receive five cards, face down. The dealer will turn over one of his cards, then push the cards toward the players, after whic h the players may look at their cards. They may on ly look at their own cards, and may not discuss wh at they have with any other players at the table. Players have the option to either play or fold. An y player choosing to play places his raise (an add itional wager equal to twice the amount of the ant e) into the box in front of him marked Bet. Any pl ayer who chooses to fold forfeits his ante. After all the players have made their decisions, the dea ler reveals his four hole cards. The dealer only q ualifies (plays) if his hand either (1) contains b oth an ace and a king or (2) forms a pair or any h igher-ranked poker hand. The dealer then compares his five-card hand to those of the other players, individually, starting with the player farthest to his right, and both the ante and the raise bets o f all players whose hands beat the dealer's qualif ied hand win. If the dealer's hand does not qualif y, only the ante bets of player's whose hands beat

the dealer's get paid while the respective raise bets all push (return to their respective players unpaid). Casino Holdem Players play the house and not other players in th is variant. Subject to the dealer qualifying, it i s a straight contest between the dealer's hand and the player's, player may also get paid a AnteWin Bonus on his Ante bet. Player can also place an AA Bonus side bet which is based on the poker value of his two personal cards and the first three flop cards. Casino War One card each is dealt to a dealer and to a player . If the player's card is higher, he or she wins b ack two times his or her own wager, plus the raise amount. However, if the dealer's card is higher, the player loses their bet. A tie occurs when the dealer and the player each h ave cards of the same rank. In a tie situation, th e player has two options: The player can surrender, in which case the pla yer loses half the bet. The player can go to war, in which case both t he player and the dealer must place an additional wager the same size as the first wager Craps Players take turns rolling two dice and whoever is throwing the dice is called the "shooter". Player s can bet on the various options by placing chips

in the appropriate sections of the board. It may b e required to ask the dealer to place certain bets. While acting as the shooter, a player must have a bet on the "Pass" line or the "Don't Pass" line. P ass and dont pass are sometimes called "Win" and "Dont Win" or "Right" and "Wrong" bets. The game is played in rounds and these "Pass" and "Don't Pa ss" bets are betting on the outcome of a round. Th e shooter is often replaced at the end of the roun d or when they lose a round with a seven. The dice are moved clockwise around the table for the next player to become shooter. The shooter is presente d with multiple dice (typically five) by the "stic kman", and must choose two for the round. The rema ining dice are returned to the stickman's bowl and are not used. Each round has two phases: "come-out" and "point". To start a round, the shooter makes one or more " come-out" rolls. A come-out roll of 2, 3 or 12 is called "craps" or "crapping out", and anyone betti ng the Pass line loses. A come-out roll of 7 or 11 is a "natural", and the Pass line wins. The other possible numbers are the point numbers: 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10. If the shooter rolls one of these nu mbers on the come-out roll, this establishes the " point" - to "pass" or "win", the point number must be rolled again before a seven. The dealer flips a button to the "On" side and moves it to the poin t number signifying the second phase of the round. If the shooter "hits" the point value again (any value of the dice that sum to the point will do; t he shooter doesn't have to exactly repeat the valu e combination of the come-out roll) before rolling a seven, the Pass line wins and a new round start s, usually with the dice staying with the current shooter. If the shooter rolls any seven before rep eating the point number (a "seven-out"), the Pass line loses and the dice pass to a new shooter for the next round. In all the above scenarios, whenev er the Pass line wins, the Don't Pass line loses,

and vice versa. Keno A traditional live casino keno game uses a circula r glass enclosure called a "bubble" containing 80 balls which determine the ball draw result. Each b all is imprinted with a number 1 through 80. Durin g the ball draw, a blower pushes air into the bubb le and mixes the balls. A "caller" presses a lever opening a tube, where the balls lift one at a tim e into a "V" shaped tube called the "rabbit ears". The caller and a "verifier" record each of 20 bal ls drawn, and the computerized keno system calcula tes all wagers based on the numbers drawn. Players wager by marking an "S" over the "spot" ch oices on a blank keno ticket form with 80 numbered selection boxes (1 to 80). After all players succ essfully place their wagers, the casino draws 20 b alls (numbers) at random. Some casinos automatical ly call the ball draw at preset timed intervals re gardless of whether or not players are waiting to place a wager. Each casino sets its own series of pay scale choic es called "paytables". The player is paid based on how many numbers drawn match the numbers selected on the ticket and according to the paytable selec ted with regard to the wager amount. Players will find a wide variation of keno paytables from casin o to casino and a large deviation in the house edg e set for each of those paytables. Additionally, e ach casino typically offers many different paytabl es and specialty keno bets for customers to choose from, each with its own unique house edge. No two casinos' keno paytables are identical. There are several Reno and Las Vegas casinos offering as man y as 20 or 30 different paytables from which the p layer can choose.

Let It Ride Is a variation of five-card stud, based on three p layer cards and two community cards. The two commu nity cards are initially dealt face down. The most distinguishing feature of Let It Ride is that the player is given two opportunities to withdraw exa ctly one-third of their initial wager. One chance occurs after the player looks at their hand but be fore the first community card is revealed, and the second occurs after the first community card is r evealed, but before the second is revealed. The pl ayer may reduce their wager on either of these occ asions, or on both, or neither. If the player deci des not to withdraw part of their wager, they are said to "let it ride". In the event of a winning hand after the second co mmunity card is revealed, what remains of the play er's wager is paid out according to a payout table such as the one given below. There are small vari ations in payoffs between casinos, but the lowest paying hand in Let It Ride is typically a pair of 10s; a pair of nines or less is a losing hand, whi ch results in the player forfeiting their remainin g wager to the house. Pai Gow Poker The object of Pai Gow poker is for a player to cre ate two poker hands out of the seven-card hand he/ she is dealt by the dealer: a five-card hand, and a two-card poker hand. According to the rules, the five-card hand's value must exceed the two-card h and's, and that is why the two-card hand is often called the hand "in front" or "on top" or "hair", or the "small" or "minor" or "low" hand. The fivecard hand is called the hand "behind", or the "bot tom" or "high" or "big" (as they are placed that w ay in front of the player, when the player is done

setting them) The only two-card hands are one pair and high cards . Five-card hands use standard poker hand rankings w ith one exception: in most Nevada casinos, the han d A-2-3-4-5 ranks above a king-high straight, but below the ace-high straight A-K-Q-J-10. At most ca sinos in California and Michigan this rule doesn't apply; the A-2-3-4-5 is the lowest possible strai ght. The joker plays as a bug, that is, in the five-car d hand it can be used to complete a straight or fl ush if possible; otherwise it is an ace. In the tw o-card hand it always plays as an ace, except in s everal southern Californian casinos where the joke r is completely wild. If each of the player's now-separated hands beat t he banker's corresponding hand then he wins the be t. If only one of his hands beats the banker then he pushes (ties) in which case neither he nor the banker wins the bet. If both of his hands lose to the banker then he loses. On each hand, ties go to the banker (for example, if a player's five-card hand loses to the banker a nd his two-card hand ties the banker then the play er loses); this gives the banker a small advantage . If the player fouls his hand, meaning that the l ow hand outranks his high hand, or that there are an incorrect number of cards in each hand, there w ill be a penalty: either re-arrangement of the han d according to house rules or forfeiture of the hand. Progressive Slots A progressive jackpot is a jackpot (highest payoff ) for a gaming machine (usually a slot machine or

video poker machine) where the value of the jackpo t increases a small amount for every game played. Normally multiple machines are "linked" together t o form one large progressive jackpot that grows mo re quickly because multiple players are contributi ng to the jackpot at the same time. The amount of the jackpot is shown on a meter as a money value. Usually the jackpot can only be won by winning the combination with the highest payoff , e.g. a royal flush at a video poker game, or fiv e of the most valuable symbols (lemons, cherries, alligators, etc.) on a slot machine. Once a player wins the jackpot, the jackpot resets to a preset minimum level. The amount on the jackpot progresses (increases) a small amount for every play on a connected machin e. The amount that the jackpot advances by is set by the casino ("the house"). For example, on a mac hine whose house edge is 5%, a generous jackpot co ntribution might be 1% (one fifth of the expected profit). The house is prepared to contribute some of the profit of a jackpot linked machine because players are attracted by the large amount of the j ackpot, which eventually motivates more players to play the game. Red Dog Poker The game only uses three cards at a time, which ar e ranked as in poker, with aces high. Suit is irre levant. A wager is placed, and two cards are place d face up on the table, with three possible outcom es: If the cards are consecutive in number (for ex ample, a four and a five, or a jack and a queen), the hand is a push and the player's wager is retur ned.

If the two cards are of equal value, a third c ard is dealt. If the third card is of the same val ue, then the payout for the player is 11:1, otherw ise the hand is a push. If neither of the above is the case (for examp le, a three and an eight), then a spread is announ ced which determines the payoff (a 4-card spread, in this example), and a third card will be dealt. Before dealing the third card, the player has the option to double his bet. If the third card's valu e falls between the first two, the player will rec eive a payoff according to the spread; otherwise t he bet is lost. The spread table is as follows: Spread 1-card 2-card 3-card 4-to-11-card Roulette Players may choose to place bets on either a singl e number or a range of numbers, the colors red or black, or whether the number is odd or even. To determine the winning number and color, a croup ier spins a wheel in one direction, then spins a b all in the opposite direction around a tilted circ ular track running around the circumference of the wheel. The ball eventually loses momentum and fal ls on to the wheel and into one of 37 (in French/E uropean roulette) or 38 (in American roulette) col ored and numbered pockets on the wheel. Slots A slot machine (American English), informally frui t machine (British English), the slots (Canadian E nglish), poker machine or "pokies" (slang) (Austra lian English and New Zealand English) or simply sl ot (American English) is a casino gambling machine with three or more reels which spin when a button is pushed. Slot machines are also known as one-ar med bandits because they were originally operated by a lever on the side of the machine (the arm) in stead of a button on the front panel, and because of their ability to leave the gamer penniless (ban dit). Many modern machines still have a legacy lev er in addition to the button. Slot machines include a currency detector that val idates the coin or money inserted to play. The mac hine pays off based on patterns of symbols visible on the front of the machine when it stops Tri Card Poker Three Card Poker incorporates two modes of play. T he Ante and Play wagers play in competition on the player hand against the dealer hand. The Pair Plu s wager is paid on a pay scale basis that the play er hand will be a pair or better. In most casinos both the Ante and the Pair Plus are optional, but there are some casinos in which the Ante is mandat ory. After all Ante and Pair Plus wagers are place d, three cards are dealt to each player and the de aler. Players that have placed the Ante wager have a choice to either fold or continue in the game b y placing a Play wager equal to the Ante. Hands ar e then exposed and wagers resolved. The dealer han d must be Queen high or better for the dealer hand to play.

If the dealer does not play then there is no actio n on Play wagers and Ante wagers are paid 1 to 1. If the dealer does play the dealer and player hand s are compared. If the player hand loses both the Ante and Play wagers lose. If the player hand wins both the Ante and Play wagers are paid 1 to 1. If the hands are tied then there is no action on the Ante and Play wagers. An additional feature is the Ante Bonus, which is paid to the Ante wager for a straight or better. T he Ante Bonus is paid on a pay scale and is paid r egardless of whether the dealer plays and regardle ss of whether the dealer or the player has the bes t hand. The Pair Plus wager loses if the player has less t han a pair and wins with a pair or better. The pay off applies regardless of the dealer hand as the P air Plus wager is not in competition against the d ealer hand. Video Poker Play begins by placing a bet of one or more credit s and pressing the "deal" button. The player is th en given cards and has the opportunity to discard one or more of them in exchange for new ones drawn from the same virtual deck. After the draw, the m achine pays out if the hand or hands played match one of the winning combinations, which are posted in the pay table. Pay tables allocate the payouts for hands and are based on how rare they are, the game variation, an d the decision of the game operator. A typical pay table starts with a minimum hand of a pair of jac ks, which pays even money. All the other hand comb inations in video poker are the same as in table p oker, including such hands as two pair, three of a kind, straight (a sequence of 5 cards of differen

t suits), flush (any 5 cards of the same suit), fu ll house (a pair and a three of a kind), four of a kind (four cards of the same value), straight flu sh (5 consecutive cards of the same suit) and roya l flush (a Ten, a Jack, a Queen, a King and an Ace of the same suit).[1] Some machines offer progressive jackpots, or other unique bonuses, thereby spurring players to both play more coins and to play more frequently.
