4-Port OC-3c/STM-1 ATM Module for the CBX 500 and CBX 3500 Multiservice Switches

The 4-Port OC-3c/STM-1 ATM Input/Output Module provides industry-standard OC-3c and STM-1 physical connections and service interfaces to the CBX 500 and CBX 3500 switches. You can use this module to provide the core infrastructure for ATM multiservice network backbones up to 155 Mbps and connect to an MPLS core. You can also use the module as the ATM backbone for mobile telephony networks built with the Lucent 5ESS switch. The modules performance monitoring, Automatic Protection Switching (APS), and high port density help create a reliable, scalable core, which you can use to cost-effectively transport services while maintaining customer service level guarantees.

Applications
Build versatile, scalable, and robust ATM network backbones at speeds up to 155 Mbps Connect to other Lucent or thirdparty ATM network backbones Connect to Juniper Networks T-series and M-series products Increase backbone capacity to support high-bandwidth applications, including highspeed Frame Relay and mobile telephony services Offer high-speed native ATM User Network Interface (UNI) access to enterprise customers Support port wholesaling services

Benefits
Increase service availability and protect service revenues with APS Seamlessly interwork ATM to MPLS networks Help reduce operating costs, maintain peak network performance, and simplify network management with Navis network management software
