Submission of registration documents

In order to facilitate candidates registering for IGCSE and GCE examinations, we have reached an agreement with Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) whereby the bank collects registration forms and fees and later delivers these documents to respective British Council office. This SCB drop-box mailing service is not offered to candidates registering with an outstation British Council office e.g. candidates residing in Multan cannot use this drop box mailing service if they want to register for exams to take place in Lahore. However, they can use this service for examinations scheduled in Multan. British Council - Bank Deposit Slip should be used for this purpose which is available at below mentioned banks. Please tick CIE Oct/Nov exams fee on the bank deposit slip before making a payment. The Standard Chartered designated branches operate from 9.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday with lunch/prayer break from 1.30 to 2.30 p.m., on Friday 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. with lunch/prayer break from 12.30 to 3.00 p.m. and on Saturday 9.00 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. (few branches only, please check the bank list); during Ramadan branches will operate from 8.30 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. Monday to Thursday and on Friday 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. The list of designated SCB branches can be found at http://www.britishcouncil.org/pakistan-exams-banks-list.pdf Candidates must deposit all required documents (as detailed on page 3) at the SCB drop-box where available. If a candidate resides in a city which does not have a designated Standard Chartered Bank, then the examinations fee must be made through a bank draft. The bank draft must be drawn in favour of the British Council office of the city where the candidate wishes to sit for an exam. A completed registration form must be sent by courier or registered mail to the appropriate British Council office. Candidates must retain a photocopy of registration form and stamped bank deposit slip along with the original courier/registered-mail dispatch slip for personal record. In case if registration documents are not delivered to the British Council, candidates would resolve the issue directly with the respective SCB branch/courier/post office (as for any other postal/courier services), based on their proof of posting. The British Council have no liability for items lost in transit and consequently missed deadlines for sending registration forms.

Acknowledgements
The British Council would forward a provisional Statement of Entry to candidates e-mail addresses in the form of an eacknowledgement within two weeks of receipt of complete registration form. Details on statement of entry should be checked and respective British Council office must be notified of discrepancies. Final statement of entry and exam venue details will be sent by courier to the regular entry candidates at least three weeks prior to the start of examinations. Late entry candidates would receive their statement of entry and venue details two weeks before the exams session begins. In case you do not receive your statement of entry two weeks before the start of the examination session, please immediately get in touch with your respective British Council Office. It is the responsibility of a candidate to fill in the form accurately, the British Council will in no way be held responsible for any omission or incorrect entries.
