Malaysia is unique because of its diversity of races,religions and cultures. Malays during ancients were really creative as the names were just given upon what is happening in their surrounding. Thirdly, as we all know malays were known for their richness in their courtesy back in the ancient times. Their creativity in giving names also involves in naming their children. That is why we can see ancients name was something like Bulan,Cahaya,Dara,Harum. Some of them were inspired by flowers such as Cempaka, Orkid, Matahari, Lili, Teratai and such. Other than that there are Tempawan,Kembang,Pertiwi,Harum and much more.

As for males,their name are more like Ahad, Isnin, Selasa, Khamis,Sabtu which were insipired by the days in a week. People nowdays are more constrained to follow the western style and start giving names such as Aaron,Benjamin,Kristina and such.
