HOW COME RSCP BE GOOD WHEN EC/NO IS AT ITS WORST ?WHATS THE CATCH IN RSCP AND EC/NO RELATION?

Follow Andr Andr Souza Hi, Mohan, Ec/No = RSCP/RSSI. If RSCP is good, but Ec/No is bad, this means that that RSSI is much higher than RSCP. RSSI is the total received power, so it includes "good" signal power as well as interference/noise power. In short, it'd be the same as saying you have some one shouting very loudly (signal power, RSCP), but you can understand very little (quality, Ec/No).

Follow MOHAN MOHAN AKOTKAR THANK YOU SIR,AS RSSI IS TOTAL POWER RX ON TOTAL BW SO IS IT THE CASE OF PILOT POLLUTION ? WHAT SHOULD BE DONE TO ERADICATE SUCH BEHAVIOUR OF N/W?

Follow Ajosh Ajosh Raju Hi Mohan, You are correct , it can be the case of a posible Pillot polution. Poor Ec/No & very good RSSI points to pilot pollution.

Follow Soner Soner SEZGN Hi Mohan P_Cpich_Ecno = P_Cpich_Rscp(W) / UTRA Carrier RSSI(W) = P_Cpich_Rscp(dBm) - UTRA Carrier RSSI(dBm) Correct me if I know wrong :) 5 days ago

Follow Relin Relin Thomas to correct the situation..re-consider the scrambling code plan, tilt sites that are overshooting into one another... any other ideas ?

Follow Pawan Pawan K. Hi,as far as other ideas are concern i believe with the help of Soft HO Parameters( e.g.Event 1a/1b/1c/1d & CPICH Ec/Io) we can control Pilot Pollution at some extents. which further can improve the SHO Performance. BR//
