Chapter 1 Your true identity God 2 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose God does more for a person than anyone else. God is in the midst of true succession; life within God is life to the fullest! This book highlights the importance of establishing a relationship with the triune God; a relationship based only on the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. A relationship established to share in Gods fullness and undying, unconditional love. A realistic relationship, not based on laws, but based on the importance of Gods will upon each and every life. The tale of Creation is one of many facades; yet one thing is certain, the Great I am created mankind for a sole purpose. That purpose, is to share in His love; the love that gives peace, joy, mercy, grace, glory, prosperity, and protection. The Lord Almighty gave the ultimate sacrifice, being His own life, so all mankind can enjoy fullness in life; through the blood of Jesus. This triune God is filled of majesty and excellence; He is complete and faithful in His own being, you can neither add nor subtract from His being- He is complete! Mankind carry a preconceived conception to who He is and how He works but sadly that is merely a small percentage to His power or Might. This triune God - the Great I am - cannot act without love! Love is who He is; He only acts according to His love! It is this love that drove Jesus to give His own life, in order for all mankind to enjoy life through Him - life in its fullness. The triune God does not condemn, punish nor delight in pain and suffering; if anything, pain and suffering, unto His people, brings tears and sorrow to His eyes and heart. Mankind fails to realize the importance of capturing the essence and magnitude of Gods love; love that does not see any boundaries, love that forgives easily and is slow to anger, a love that does not delight in punishment and condemnation. His love is eternal, His love is faithful and never shaken - His love is a miracle in itself! Allow me to illustrate Gods love for mankind, by means of the following rhetorical question: as human as you are, would you condemn your own children/parents to hell, regardless of how angry you are? This is a hard question, isnt it? In the same manner, it is as hard for God to condemn His own children - Hed rather show His love and forgive and guide to the path of righteousness. A large number of us, people, perceive God to be quick in judgment and punishment, but God declares that He has no plans to harm us; but plans to prosper us and help us grow in Him. We are so quick to paint a picture of God that is both wrong and discouraging the truth is that God only seeks to be a part of our lives, not to control us but to guide, not to harm us but prosper us, and not to take over our plans but to aid in establishing those plans. HE ONLY SEEKS TO BE A PART OF OUR LIVES. The triune God is somewhat amazing; He is our Creator, He is our Cultivator and He is our Friend. He has three facets, yet He is one - He acts in unity within His three facets. As the Creator He is God, as the Cultivator of our spirits He is the Holy Spirit, and as our Friend He is Jesus. The triune God works in unity with His different facets; nevertheless, He uses all His power and relation, in these facets, to perform specific purposes, in the lives of His children, 3 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose His Creation. In the same manner, He seeks to be unified with mankind, although mankind itself has searched for and comprehended independence, without God, which makes Gods relation to mankind rather complex. The secret to Gods fullness and completeness is Love and relationship; God exists in Love, He exists in relationship- relationships not bound by human systems or justifications, but relationships of undying, selfless and unconditional love. God, the Creator, gives joy, He gives peace, and He restores and supervises. God seeks to be in unity with mankind, He seeks the ultimate relationship; a relationship that answers only to His love, a love that guides, comforts, transforms and gives off a victorious and loving arrangement. He seeks not to control our lives or our decisions; He seeks to be with us, in unity, where our plans are His and our lives exist in His. The triune God loves each and every person on this earth, no questions asked, He possesses no record of wrong doings; God loves sinners and the righteous equally. His love for mankind, His Creation, is so strong that He made a sacrifice that cost Him dearly, yet He was focused on the purpose of giving life at its fullest to all mankind; He was focused on establishing unity with mankind, the triune God was focused on sharing His fullness and Love with all mankind. How special is the love of God? Even if it takes the Great I am a considerable amount of years to cultivate and establish a relation with us, He shall remain patient and slowly but surely work His way into our lives, whether or not we realize the magnitude of His undying, sacrificial love! How can we now deny this? How can we continue to limit Gods love within our lives? How can we continue to refuse such an offer? We often dwell so much in the beauty of materialistic things that we no longer recognize the true beauty of life; the beauty of love. This is the kind of love where every moment dwells on your mind without compromise, where every obstacle is an opportunity to be stronger, where your co-existence resembles the coming existence of a greater miracle; the miracle of life. This is the kind of love where the happiness of others is much more important than your own; where your own thoughts, your own needs, your own feelings, and your own confusions are no more important than the thoughts, the feelings, the needs and the confusions of other people. With this kind of love, you are prepared to risk more and fear less, inspire more and judge less; this is where people are the centre of your very actions. Your actions must guide people, your actions must inspire people, your actions must empower people, and your actions must bring out the best in people. How I long to dwell within that mentality of uncompromising love: this love is not a feeling, it is the ever-radiating colour spectrum that surrounds each life, and is where uniqueness resides. And only this kind of love can open your eyes to the beauty of each person; the beauty of their colour. This love is not a feeling; it is an act of obedience to the Almighty God. Love is not a feeling; it has nothing to do with how you feel. Love is simply a gift, which lives within each of us. This gift needs to be unlocked and released throughout the nations of the world. In a book written by William P. Young, The Shack, a man named Mackenzie Phillips suffers a great loss, where his younger daughter is murdered and for a number of years cannot find the body of his daughter. The story progresses to a point where Mack receives a note from Papa (ironically, Papa is a name given to God by Macks wife) and after considerable thought and 4 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose emotional indecisiveness, Mack decides that he is going to find out who this Papa is (he conjures up a theory that the note might be from God, as crazy as it may sound, or it could also be from his daughters killer). Upon his arrival at the shack (this is a place where his daughters blood-soaked dress was found - it is the centre of all his pain) he comes across three individuals, an African-American woman, an Asian lady and a middle-eastern gentlemanamazingly these three individuals present themselves as the triune God. The African-American woman is God, known as Papa, and the Asian lady is the Holy Spirit, known as Sarayu (which means wind) and the middle-eastern gentleman is Jesus. The story progresses as Mack spends a weekend with the triune God and he is taught many lessons, including how the perception of God, by mankind, is far from who God truly is. Mack realizes that God is not a God of punishment nor does He forsake His children, His Creation, but God is filled with love and adore for mankind- God is ALWAYS with us people, moreover it is only mankind that tends to leave His presence in the midst of pain and suffering. The Shack highlights the various misconceptions religions portray about God, and how stereotypical our mindsets are in relation to God. The Shack also highlights the importance of having fundamentally rational and realistic bases to judgment. I believe that God spoke to William Young to write The Shack, hence this book carries a very important message - a message of hope, a message of transformation, a message of growth and a message of salvation, not from evil ways, but salvation from our stereotypical mindsets and theological conceptions. No general sends his army without knowing the strengths of their opposition and No king is victorious through his own might. . . these quotes present important lessons; one that success is the product of preparation, and without prior preparation and accusation of knowledge, your succession will be rather mediocre; and thats if you do reach success. The second lesson within the quotes is the knowledgeable fact that no persons succession is through their own might; God is the centre of every success and victory. Therefore place the triune God in each and every plan of yours, to completely witness true success. In Genesis 1:26 it is written how God created people, and what degree of blessings He bestowed on us people. It is important that you grasp the meaning behind the image of God and being fruitful and multiply. 1. God made all people in His image, and gave all the authority over all animals, oceans, and the world in general. God created humans and dictated that all humans will rule and will be manifestly filled with the ability and anointing to rule. To rule merely means that you shall overcome all circumstances that are above, under, and surrounding your life. But also, God did not say that humans will rule over humans; God created humans to rule over circumstances. 5 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose 2. God also bestowed a blessing on all humans, where He stated that be fruitful and multiply. This means: God desires for all His children to be productivity influenced. Let not the sun rise and set and you have not embarked on any project- be productive. God blessed all humans to be productive and to become a productive entity. Being productive and profitable does not relate the employment. Be employed means that you are merely surviving life; God created every human being to go beyond in their lives, to acquire more than enough. To multiply relates to your ability to depart and fill up the world with your influence, impact the world with your talents, modify the world with your ideas, and nourish the world with the produce that comes from your hands. it. This blessing is in all humans already; it is merely waiting for the individual to unleash

It is time to move away from the preset survival mode of life and move on to a higher degree of prosperity; through a relationship with God. A relationship with God will ordain us to a certain type of life. This type of life we are to radiate is best described by a poet, from the Passion 4 Christ Movement, which states: When you speak, you must remind people of Solomons wisdom. Your faith must remind them of Abraham. Your heart for God must remind them of David. Your confidence in the Word of God must remind them of Daniel. Your integrity must remind them of Joseph. Your attention to detail must remind them of Noah. Your ability to lead must remind them of Moses. Your ability to inspire must remind them of Paul. And your ability to love selflessly and unconditionally must remind them of Christ.

Chapter 2 Fight the circumstances The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. - Exodus 14:14

No matter your background, financial status, or even professional level, there are certain conditions or rather circumstances that affect us all - some might experience circumstantial problems such as: financial problems, uncooperative parents, increased workload at school, etc. In addition, some of us experience challenging problems including divisions between friends, family, colleagues, etc leaving you with issues such as low self-esteem. All these 6 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose problems are common, regardless of your professional level, but it is through the love, the ambition, the thriving, and the anointing we have that will assist us in going further in our journey to find our purpose in life. This is how you can FIGHT THE CIRCUMSTANCES: A spontaneous mindset is required. A spontaneous mindset that will enable you to go further in your journey assists in removing all negative feelings, thoughts, and stereotypical elements from your path towards success: spontaneously minded people live in the positive, they seize opportunities, they dwell in possibilities, and they embark on voyages, without any fear or doubt. Constructive planning is essential (there is nothing worse than a person that does not know where he or she is going) - layout a full plan of what you wish to achieve, how you are going to achieve it and preferably why you are embarking on that type of journey. Planning carries a great importance in the life of any young person - planning gives direction, planning promotes coordination between different aspects of the persons life, planning compels the person to look to the future, planning increases consistency and planning promotes steadiness. You must plan according to the SMART planning tool - your plans must be Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic & Time-bound. A well-shaped vision and mission are essential: a vision is your mandate (the true reason why you are on this journey of realizing your purpose), for example, the vision of this book is, to assist, guide, and educate young people to develop in their disciplines and generate awareness around the importance of a Christ-centered mindset, in regard to success. The vision allows us to generate detailed goals, in consideration of your succession. Furthermore, a mission is simply how you plan to achieve your vision. Be open-minded, be taught, be trained and become skilled in your area of discipline. The death of many young people is the fear or rather, the stubbornness to learn new implementations in and outside their educational spheres. In other words, most people refuse to go outside their comfort zones to learn new things- they stay cocooned up in one spot. Truthfully, will that help you achieve anything? No, it certainly will not. The key to success in almost every aspect of life (whether it be dancing, business, or even family-life) is to keep on learning, thus the saying, you can never stop learning. Learning provides a huge advantage for anyone, well in respect of spiritual, emotional, mental & psychological improvement, selfesteem build up, etc. Accept that there will always be people better than you. Reasons exists why there are people that are better than us, and it is not because they are present to make our lives miserable but rather to help us reach that pre-destined level we hope and pray for. If you come to think of it, the reason why that person is better than you, is simply because that person went out and became open-minded, became qualified, the particular person was trained, and that person became skilled. Therefore, in the same manner, you need these people to develop in your own journey of success! Associate yourself with those types of people, so that you can also pass on what you learn to another person.

The purpose of Purpose

Fighting the circumstances entails the acceptance, the respect, and the love for your gift and talent, to acquire these characteristics; you can go beyond any situation and tribulation. Fighting the circumstances also entails that we fully understand that the world has its own connotation to the word success, which, most of the time, relates to monetary wealth. Therefore, to expand, completely, in our own disciplines, we need to look past what the world observes as success and attach our own meaning to the word success, through the triune God. Many successful people today had to go through daunting ordeals in their lives yet they grew strong and carried on, and they prevailed to be the very best they could have possibly become! The essence of fighting the circumstances is being the ultimate personification of success; the fundamental nature of fighting the circumstances is for the strong-willed. We need to develop a die hard mindset, where failure is not an option and where utilization of all opportunities, good or bad, is essential in transforming our lives. Mediocre aspirations are not destined for the children of the Almighty God; how can the Creation of the triune God, the very Creation that is centered in Gods love and fullness, be purposed to be mediocre? I certainly do not believe that the Creation of God should settle and accommodate itself in the midst of mediocrity! I certainly do not believe that we were purposed for that- not when our Creator is One who created everything from the stars to the insects to the mesmerizing sunsets, the waterfalls, including the cooling breeze that fairly touches your skin, in signal of the coming of a blessed rainfall. Mediocrity is certainly not a part of us and what is not a part of you, needs to be set aside. Gods thinking and idea of success may not be in line with ours so best not to argue with God. Below are the secrets to God- directed success: 1. Learn to walk before you can run. Perform one task well before you go on to the next.

Often, if not always, we are tempted to get involved in too many initiatives at the same time and that is not how it should be done. If you have analyzed how God created everything, you will see how systematic everything was He did not create everything on the same day. In the book of Ecclesiastes, the Word of the Lord says that everything has a time and season. There is a time for laughter and there is a time for sorrow... so plan out everything and ask God to direct you and put in action, the plan that you have. Most importantly, do one thing, master it then move on to the next. 2. Weigh up what people say. People will often try to put you off saying something cant be done when it can - this is human nature. Consider what the Bible says and how your words will affect other people. The Bible says what tongue proclaims will come to pass, so it is really not about what other people say about you, but what you say about yourself. Blessed are those who, in the midst of problems, proclaim positivity. Remember that what you speak will rub off the people around you be an advocate of positivity! In everything, peoples opinions should not matter what matters the MOST is what God says. 8 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose

3. Do not be threatened by people smarter than you but do not attempt to do everything yourself if possible share responsibilities. A person can be smarter than you, but at the same time, fails to apply that mind. Do not be threatened but rather, learn from them. And in all that you do, do not try and do every task yourself, share responsibilities youre not only responsible for your own growth. Build other people, with every task. With God-directed success, taking care of people should be your first priority. Care more, be wise. Risk more, be safe. Dream more, be practical. Expect more, think possible.

Chapter 3 Are You Prepared for The Next Step?

Preparing yourself spiritually, physically, mentally and psychologically is a developmental phase in your succession stride, and it is not a straightforward task - it requires timeless energy, perseverance, and hunger-induced ambition and passion. Preparation is not something we can just channel from pure instinct, we need to be taught and trained in achieving optimal preparations. (i) Spiritual preparation

Preparing spiritually entails spiritual growth obtained through adequate prayer cycles and spiritual edification. We are all not on identical levels in terms of our prayer life, so it is much more productive to start small by just including prayer in your everyday tasks. We need to ask for guidance, ask for the great grace that surrounds and supports all talents and gifts that God has bestowed upon all of us and ask for deliverance in uncertainties and doubt, and simply welcome the Lord in our decisions and plans and allow Him to work within us. As time progresses, we will grow in our prayer life as well as in our spiritual deliverance, and our spiritual life will be intact with our plans of preparation. (ii) Physical preparation

Physical preparations comprise of physical well-being through exercise and correct eating habits, including the exclusion of smoking and alcohol.

9 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose Exercise plays a key role in the level of succession in any career, where exercise establishes the level of versatility and growth. It is rather complex to attempt certain things while your health is impaired. Subsequently, wise, is the fact, that it is in your best interest to establish an appropriate gym schedule and health plan where cardio and muscle development are dominant. In terms of eating habits, prudent is the exclusion of foods high in fat, salt, and sugar. Preferably, your diet should incorporate food high in fibre, iron, calcium, and vitamin C - you may also devote yourself to 100% juice, as compared to diluted juice and alcohol. (iii) Mental preparation

We all know the body obeys what the mind commands, and it is in your mind where you conjure up certain plans before you actually put them into action. In this regard, the level of importance in mental preparation should be immensely emphasized; it is rather blunt to ignore this aspect of our being. Mental preparation is the interaction of various psychological and health attributes where selfesteem, confidence and our level of spontaneous thinking including our eating habits contribute to this aspect of our being. However, it is rather straightforward in preparing in this manner, as compared to other aspects, what actually needs to be done is simply looking in the mirror, every day, and telling ourselves that, we are more than conquerors, we are made fearfully and wonderfully, in the image of God and we are who we are because God is who He is. In doing this, we are dynamically contributing to your self-esteem and confidence levels. In terms of eating habits, foods such as fish, enhance your level at which your brain functions and therefore it is imperative to include brain food (cacao beans, wild salmon, matcha green tea powder, acai berries or blueberries, and coffee beans) in our diets- let us face it, we use the brain to invoke our creative juices. Mental preparation, also, largely includes reading and applying your mind; this will grow your brains ability to solve problems and IQ levels. The Word of the Lord says that we are to be wise and guard our minds, I believe God did not just say that for the fun of it. Instead, I believe God realized the importance of applying our minds and growing in wisdom and knowledge. (iv) Psychological preparation

Athletes in distinctive sports use psychological preparation as a tool in enhancing their level of performance. Psychological preparation relates mainly to the level of preference to each distinctive person; some prefer listening to music, reading, and sitting in a quiet place, etc.

It is really up to the respective person to know what works for them. Important features to remember in psychological preparation include:

10 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose Enjoy yourself! If you find something to be dull, psych yourself up in order to reach a satisfactory level of focus. Learn to be thought-free when you are in action; plenty of thoughts generate nerves and anxiety. You should only analyze your performance after an event; mistakes happen all the time, just move on and learn from your mistakes. Utilize your own focus-bearing thought-of methods to channel out distractions

Numerous techniques to utilize in your psychological preparations are available; some include the identification of short-term goals, identification of external impediments, and identification of internal limitations, identification of specific intervention techniques and psychological monitoring and control of psychic state. Psychological preparation is somewhat attached to your feelings, and how you portray certain things. That is the sole reason why psychological preparation differs from one person to another. This form of preparation incorporates things that make you feel good, in order to bring out the best in you before an important events. Other ways in preparing yourself is to establish that your succession is not through your own might, but through the triune God that lives within each and every one of us. Humbling yourself is the next step to take.

Chapter 4 Do not hesitate The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust. - Ruth 2:12

The dictation regarding the word, hesitation, is simply to be slow in action due to uncertainty or indecision therefore; we can deduce that to hesitate is to be unsure of the outcome of a specific activity. Now tell me, what is the use of calling ourselves the children of Jehovah God if we are not prepared to take the very risks that will most probably aid in our expansion, or rather, success? We need to recognize the relevance of positive thinking in our walk to success! In respect to our personal expeditions, exposed, we will be, to a bunch of people, some friends, some colleagues, and although this sounds promising, it is significant that we are attentive to the possibility that along the way we will have to separate ourselves from some of those people, for any reason whatsoever. Likewise, when that time comes, we need not hesitate.

11 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose Relationships and separations are a big part of our daily existence; of which some of these relationships bring along very important lessons, but their lifespan ends there, and in the same manner, separations help us indentify those particular lessons. In order to bring forth growth we need to develop a stubborn temperament of exonerating hesitation within ourselves. In addition, when time grants us the possibility of separation from certain ventures or people, most probably from friends that have negative aspirations or relationships that deprive us of growth, we need not hesitate but move on. It really does not matter how long you wait, it does not matter how much pain you go through, it does not matter who says what, it truly does-not-matter! If you seek something so badly that it hurts, that it totally takes over your emotions and thoughts, it really does not matter what the situations plainly spells out, as long as you do not accept defeat, you will find what you seek. Pain, impatience and frustration are part of the journey; this pain will teach you how to handle your emotions effectively, these frustrations will help you cherish what you seek very effectively. No matter what you have been through, the day shall come where your pain will be your gain, where frustration will be your portion and where your impatience will be your victory. IT REALLY DOES NOT MATTER! In our path of no hesitation, we also need to incorporate good time management skills, to aid in establishing properly balanced lifestyles and habits. However, incorporating time management skills would, in some cases, mean that we have to neglect, or rather, separate ourselves from certain activities or people- when time grants us that opportunity, we need not hesitate. The concepts of time management mainly integrate our physical, psychological, mental, and spiritual aspects of our being. Of which, these aspects should be evenly and efficiently proportionate to our time usage, in other words, time management focuses on using our time efficiently. The most important aspect regarding the removal of hesitation would be concerning opportunities. The quote opportunities come once in a lifetime is rather misguided- a person acquires an immense amount of opportunities in a lifetime, but in the same approach we need not forget that each opportunity brings its own unique reward, therefore whenever opportunities present themselves in our direction, no matter how small or insipid it may seem, we need not hesitate. Each opportunity granted is as another piece in the puzzle, therefore the meaning behind each opportunity that sways itself in our direction must be utilized to aid in growth, upgrading and finding ourselves. However, carefully placed attention ought to be upon the remembrance that hesitation is not always a bad thing. For instance, when school becomes too much for us or rather we feel that we do not belong in school; hesitation to leave school is a good thing in this regard. Be careful not to make hasty decisions that will affect your walk of success- school, family and your values are important characteristics of your stride headed for success; simply appreciate, and persist.

12 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose

Chapter 5 Now, Go!

Remember, innovation is the birth-child of uniqueness, so dwell in your own gift and anointing- do things your own way and go beyond. The amazing thing is, there is a special kind of place where innovation is stocked up in large bulks, free of charge this factory of thought exists only in God. The word of God says that no eye has seen and no ear has heard what the Lord will do, meaning so much capacity exists within God, so much innovation is in Him and we can operate in this Heavenly innovative mindset by simply asking; as the children of God, we dont need special passwords, all we do is askHow good is the God we serve though? How can we continue to limit ourselves? How can we continue to limit God, or the magnitude of success He can give us? Success should not be intertwined with monetary value nor eminence; success is merely the achievement of proposed objectives at proposed times. The deception about success is that people conjure up different connotations to the word and ultimately those connotations confuse us people; the superlative approach would be to have our own meaning of the word, success, in the form of objectives. Try to complete and achieve those objectives at the specified times at which we set out for ourselves. The true essence of going beyond is going beyond your former self, realizing and implementing ways in changing your point of view and objectives. Go beyond what ever has been compelling you to stay in your comfort zone, go beyond what ever has been compelling you to act below your true potential. The time to awaken the person slumbering inside of you has come: release your gift and talent into the world, share your anointing with the world, and make an impact in the lives of people. A simple thing as dancing can make a big difference in the world, how much better is your gift? It is only up to you. Go beyond! People say the sky is the limit and I say, Heaven is my first stopdo not limit yourselves; going beyond encompasses a lot of things but the most important is, how you think. To go beyond there are certain aspects to consider, namely: Accept your limits; that is the only way you can go beyond them

Accept that God is your source; remember at all times that you are who you are because God made you so (humility). Transform yourself; to transform means going beyond your own form, go beyond in your habits, goals, vision, psychological status, etc Each generation goes further than the generation preceding it because it stands on the shoulders of that generation... this quote clarifies the fact that in order to succeed,

13 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose prosper, and excel, you need your elders to guide you, for they are your pillars to stand on. Respect and cherish them! Have faith: acquire that kind of faith that has its roots embedded in the foundation of truth (God) and is stubbornly rebuttable to threat. That kind of faith that has knowledge within the heart, that is beyond the grasp of resistance. Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure LEARN from your failures, so you can GO BEYOND them The good fighters of old first put themselves beyond the possibility of defeat, and then waited for an opportunity of defeating their enemies. DO NOT BE QUICK TO ACT; there is a set time for manifestation for every occasion, activity, law, obligation, objection, and even success. Take your time to learn, adjust, and incorporate. Wait for the right moment to act- you will certainly know when it is the right time! Many people know so little about what is beyond their short range of experience. They look within themselves and find nothing! Therefore they conclude that there is nothing outside them either. Build confidence in yourself; do not let yourself fall short of what your destiny is. Do not allow yourself to give up to mere uncertainties, with faith, hope, confidence and a high level of experience- you will KNOW that you are beyond any negative feeling or hearsay! You are made wonderfully and fearfully in the image of the Lord - you can do whatever that is in your path of succession. Therefore...child of God, GO BEYOND!

Chapter 6 Remember Humility?

Humility can be summarized using a famous quote by Benjamin Franklin which states, in reality there is perhaps not one of our natural passions so hard to subdue as pride, disguise it, struggle with it, beat it down, stifle it, mortify it, as much as one pleases, it is still alive, and will every now and then peep out and show itself...For even if I could conceive that I had completely overcome it, I should probably be proud of humility. Benjamin Franklin highlights the fundamental concept of pride, and how it is stubbornly in each of us, whether or not we like it, yet he also teaches that we should be proud of our humility as it keeps us sane, it provides us with opportunity for growth, and it does not disappoint us but provides room for satisfaction. It is hard to be humble in a society that promotes competition and individuality but the true core of success lies in the perception of humility. Humility brings forth the assurance of richer relationships; it is much easier to connect with people that think of others rather than themselves. Furthermore, humility gives birth to the admiration of others, which forms basis of rewarding relationships. Being humble includes (i) appreciating your talents, (ii) carry out 14 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose fair assessments of yourself, (iii) understand that you are human and you acquire certain limitations, (iv) be honest enough to recognize your own faults, (v) do not compare, and (vi) appreciate qualities of others. These concepts are explained below: (i) Appreciate your talents

Appreciating our talents involves the self-induced respect for our talents; this is where we will be thankful for our talents. In addition, there is nothing wrong with feeling good about our talents and successes but that is a matter of self-esteem NOT pride; pride leans towards being arrogant and ignorant of our talents, and pride has to do with the its all about me mentality, where credit is given onto oneself whereas it is due to God and Him alone! (ii) Carry out assessments of ourselves

Learn to accept who and what you are. When we learn to be honest with ourselves, we will be aware of possibilities that there are certain areas we are weak in, therefore that will promote growth in ourselves. Honesty with oneself gives rise to less feeble characteristics, where this will build stronger qualities in oneself. (iii) Understand you have limitations

There is always someone better than we are, that is a proven, unpleasant fact of life, no matter how talented we are. True humility comes from accepting that fact, and gradually appreciating others for who they are. This will also bring forth admiration and observation of what God can do, hence what God can also do for you. (iv) Recognize our own faults

Passing on blame is rather harmful to growth, so it is in our best interest to recognize our own faults rather than passing on blame. Recognizing our faults will aid in improving our judgment and thus our own growth. Recognizing our own faults is a fundamental aspect of keeping strong relationship; many relationships suffer from the problem of being centralized, where blame is put on one person. This kind of relationship is harmful to both parties. So recognizing our own faults will diminish the existence of such relationships. (v) Do not compare

The biggest blunder we can commit is comparing ourselves to others, especially when we compare ourselves to people that are still learning and are under our level- that is not 15 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose productive and will gradually do more harm than good. Learn to accept that we are unique, just like everyone else. We need to dwell in our own understanding of things, our own anointing and our own connotation of success- this will aid us in not comparing ourselves to others. (vi) Appreciate qualities of others

When we learn to accept that everyone has their own exclusive anointing and talents, we will learn to appreciate their intrinsic worth, goals, and successions, in distinction to our own. When we learn not to compare ourselves to others, we will learn to appreciate other peoples rareness, and when we do not pass on blame unto others, we will learn to appreciate their qualities obtained through their realizations and development through mistakes. Therefore, in order to initiate a life of humility, we need to teach ourselves the fundamental rule, which is to appreciate others, as we would appreciate ourselves. A big part of being humble is learning to help others; we learn and receive a great deal from helping others. The profitability of this is far more valuable than monetary value; it is something that is inscribed in your being. Although, it is rather difficult to enrobe such a characteristic as humility, but with patience, hard work and a little help from God- you will certainly go beyond pride and become an individual who you set out to become - and that is a person of value, a person of importance, and a person of humility!

Chapter 7 Its Time for Transformation

What happens when you are guided by God to a foreign land, doing foreign things and socializing with foreign people? Only one thing will happen - you will be elevated to a new point of authority, succession, influence and wisdom. When God directs you to a new land, He is preparing you. It is through this foreign land, foreign experiences and foreign associates that you will learn to see your true worth, your true potential, your true authority and your true destiny and purpose. Before a person (for illustration purposes, let us say the person is a 21 year old scrawny female) becomes a qualified traffic officer, she has to go through immense training, ranging from physical to mental preparations, and upon the completion of her training, she receives the traffic officer uniform. Now, imagine you are a 50 year old man driving your car along a fairly busy road, and out of nowhere, this 21 year old little girl raises her scrawny right hand and signals you to pull over and stop your car...will you ignore her or will you respect her and stop? Where does this sense of respect come from? The uniform! When you look at this 21 year old girl, you do not see the scrawny little girl but you see the traffic officer uniform. What exactly is the point? Well, when God directs you into 16 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose a foreign land, you will go through foreign training mechanisms and occurrences but after this training, God will clothe you with authority, honour, integrity, and potential and destinybuilding purpose. And guess what? People will not see John or Thembi or Mary-Anne, they will see the armour of Christ on you and they will be forced to respect and obey you that is the power of transformation - letting God direct you into foreign lands, foreign occurrences, foreign situations, and foreign company. Transformation is the product of training, preparation and continued guidance (by the Holy Spirit). When we divide the word transformation into two parts, we get Transport and Formation; this demonstrates the significance of Gods plan to move us from one place to another. When God directs us, He transports us to a higher level of expectations; moreover God acts according to the formation of our abilities, in order to fully accomplish our purposes, through training. A biblical reference to transformation is where God instructed Abraham to a foreign land and for that reason, God gave Abraham a higher level of purpose, a higher level of authority God proclaimed Abraham as the father of all nations. How blessed will you be? The Bible says, no bird goes to sleep on an empty stomach, because God takes care of them, so now, as a human being you are created in Gods own image, have you really thought about that statement? God trusted us, humans, with His very own image now, how much more will God take care of us? Again, I ask, how wonderful is this triune God we serve though? On the other hand, transformation requires us to surrender and place all our trust and faith in God, and completely rely on Him to guide us towards the path of self-realization and purpose. Transformation occurs when our goals and plans are linked to Gods very own plans; we cannot have our own agenda and expect God to adjust to our agendas. It is either we choose Gods will or we suffer the risk of not finding transformation. Dr. John Tibane says, We are created as a masterpiece; that is a piece of the Master. But we are not created to remain a masterpiece but to develop into being a mastermind; that is having the MIND of the Master How astounding will that be, having the mind of Christ, where our thinking is entirely in sync with His? That is absolutely possible and is one of the many benefits of transformation. But it all requires total submission to God and a passion for living a life guided and transformed by God Himself. However, the road towards transformation is not an easy one. It is not easy to pursue a vision, a purpose, but it is certainly worth it. And faith will help but keep in mind that faith does not make things easier, it just makes them possible. The fact that we are Gods children does not mean that we are immune to troublesome moments and situations. We are to, always, remember that when the devil sees that we are of Gods Kingdom, he will try with all his might to destroy you but no need to fear we have the Great I Am on our side. God does not promise that things will go smoothly but He guarantees that it will all be possible. With every challenge, God knows that you have the power and capacity to go through it, nevertheless handle it. God shames the devil by allowing the devil to throw challenges at us, knowing very well that when you go through a challenge, you come out stranger, wiser and more focused. So, when you go through challenges in your pursuit of transformation, know that God is just training you and moving you to a higher level of wisdom, strength, faith and focus. With God, everything works out for

The purpose of Purpose the better for all those that love Him, and rely on Him for guidance, provision, wisdom and knowledge. After you have reached the point of transformation, work harder. There is no limit to what you and God can achieve together.

Chapter 8 The purpose of Purpose Psalms 51:10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

There is a well-known quote that says, If you do not stand for something, you will fall for everything honestly, how true is that? Who wants to live a predictable, mediocre, insipid life? Who wants to live a life of no importance or value? I am sure no one is raising their hands in excitement towards this question. Yet, there are a vast number of people, still living place-holder lives; yes I said it a place-holder. A place-holder life is when a life does not have any value or importance; there is no form of contribution to making the world a better place, that life is just a statistic, a place-holder. What makes life more interesting, worthwhile, impactful and value-added? There is only one answerpurpose! Now, what exactly is purpose? Purpose is the sole reason you and I were created by God. Purpose is the essence of all existence, occurrence and destiny. God assigned a specific purpose to each and every life; only YOU can do what you were created to do, and if you do not find out what your purpose is and act upon it, you will rob the world of the value your purpose couldve added. Just imagine if Nicholas Cugnot, in 1769, did not design the first car (a steam-powered automobile), what would we be using as transportation today? His purpose was designed to add value to the world through the invention of the car. In the same way, Mark Zuckerberg acted upon his purpose and he gave the world his invention, which is Facebook. Today millions and millions of people communicate with family, friends, businesses and artists through Facebook. The global market has increased, and competitiveness in the marketplace has increased - through Facebook this is all possible. Or rather, what if Benjamin Franklin and the ancient Greeks were not in line with their purposes, and did not discover and re-invent electricity? We would still be using candles right? But also, what if the ancient Egyptians were also not acting according to their purpose, and did not invent the first candle? What then? In simple terms, your purpose is a solution to the worlds problems, in which only you are chosen to bring that solution. If you do not act according (or in relation) to your purpose, you will deprive the world of that solution. That is the power of purpose; the power to change the 18 Lebogang Mokubela

The purpose of Purpose world. Linda Ntuli says it best, no one can do what you do, especially when youre doing it. We are all assigned a purpose, but it must be discovered you need to find out what your purpose is. How is that possible? Ask God! We need to ask God to reveal the purpose that has been laid upon our lives; furthermore, we need to ask the Holy Spirit to guide us towards those things that will aid in reaching our purpose. God will use our talents and gifts to direct us towards our purpose. You may start off as a dancer and think you will most probably be an internationally-recognized choreographer, but in most cases, you may find that God only gave you that gift of dance to teach you leadership your purpose may lie in leading nations. But through your talent, God teaches you the fundamentals of leadership. Discovering your purpose is also directly linked to the company you keep these people can either make or break you. They can either inspire you towards your purpose or they can help your purpose expire. Be careful of the company you keep. Appreciate your gift and talent; appreciate the kind of knowledge and power it can grant you. Respect your gift and talent; respect the level of authority it can award you. Also, love your gift and talent; love the prominence it can widen for you! In all honesty, when you pursue your purpose, you will come across challenges. You will have moments where you think you are being punished, you will doubt yourself, and you will doubt your vision and purpose God had assigned to you. And it is perfectly normal to feel like that, it only starts being a problem once you quit on your dream, your purpose and your vision. Often, people think they will not come across challenges just because they are Christian and believe in God, and this is not a realistic way of thinking. Pastor Lebogo puts it very nicely, he says, Christianity is not a way out but a way through life. Challenges come and go, but Gods glory forever remains. The wonderful thing about challenges is that, when the devil throws challenges at us, he forgets that God will turn that challenge into something that will strengthen you. God allows these challenges because He knows two things, which are: 1. God knows the potential we carry inside and He also knows that the greatest lessons are learned through challenges. 2. When we go through challenges, we learn about ourselves and we grow when we grow, we give praise to God and we shame the devil. My message to you is very simple: learn to ignore things that might take your focus away from your purpose. Walk in accordance to your purpose and let the Holy Spirit guide you. Enjoy your life; test your capabilities in everything you do, so you become limitless. I truly hope that this book has been a great inspiration to you go out there and conquer, moreover go out there and saturate each and every heart, mind, spirit and soul you come across, with Gods word. Gratitude that is silent serves no purpose to anyone so do not be silent about your gratitude towards God. He has been good to all of us. Write a book, write a song, write a play, choreograph a dance, etc. it is truly up to you, but let the world know how good God has been to you.
