National Institute of Health and Family Welfare is an Autonomous / Apex Technical Institute funded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare for promoting Health and Family Welfare Programmes in the country through Education & Training, Research & Evaluation, specialized services, consultancy and advisory services. There is a one post of Consultant in the study titled Partnering Public Health to Build Community Mental Health in India. Interested candidates may appear for the post. One 12 months NIHFW, New Delhi Rs.70,000/- p.m. (consolidated) per month MD in Psychiatry with 3 years experience, or PG Diploma (Psychiatry) with 5 years experience, or M. Phil in Psychiatric Social Work with 5 years experience, or M. Phil in Clinical Psychology with five years experience

Preferred experience in managing the interface between government and service providers and with NGOs Position Description The Position will support the National Institute of Health and Family Welfare and its designated officers in the implementation of the community mental health project in the following areas: 1. Support the development of community mental health services in accordance with WHO and government of India policies in the four designated pilot sites. Document findings for academic and government audiences. Report to NIHFW on government processes and expectations in the field of mental health service delivery. Facilitate and advise on best ways to maintain cooperative and productive relationships with all key stakeholders, including national and state governments, professional bodies, consumer and care groups and NGO's in mental health.

General: The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the study related. Initial appointment will be for 3 months extendable further depending on performance. The post does not carry with it any guarantee of employment in NIHFW.
