Why the need for Redemption The action of Adam in the Garden of Eden and the resultant consequent was dramatized by Jesus our lord in a parable he gave in Mark 12:1-9 Mk 12:1-9 KJV 12:1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country. 2 And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard. 3 And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty. 4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled. 5 And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some. 6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son. 7 But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be ours. 8 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard. 9 What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.

God the father, created the heaven and earth (Gen 1) and later in this chapter, God created man in his own image and gave him dominion over all the earth. Gen 1:27-28 KJV
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

But before the creation, a rebellion had happened in heaven when Lucifer, an archangel of the lord tried to be on Gods throne. Lucifer was defeated and lost his position in Gods kingdom and was thrown unto the earth. Therefore Lucifer who became the devil due to his rebellion, sought to seek revenge against God by taking over the earth and Gods children on the earth by turning them against God.

Ezekiel 28:11-16 KJV 11 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. 13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created. 14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. 15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. 16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. In Genesis 2:15-17, the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it:

for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Satan had already died by virtue of his rebellion and expulsion; and was jealous that God created man in his own image and made man his son (Luke 3:38). What do I mean Satan had already died? Or what did God the father mean when He said Adam would die? Death as referred to in Genesis chapter 2, means total separation from God (spiritual death) and not physical death (the difference of the two deaths will be explained later in the book). This further means that man will have nothing to do with God and that he will loose the knowledge of God him. He will be sensual (live and make decisions based on his/her five senses) rather than spiritual; his original state. Satan lost the God kind of life in him and therefore had nothing in him that could connect him to God. As a result of this, he was condemned to eternal annihilation. This is the situation God called death in Genesis chapter 2.

When God created the heaven and the earth and handed over the earth to his son Adam, He provided all things pertaining to life and godliness to him and also gave him authority with respect to the running and upkeep of the earth (the world). He gave Adam a wife and gave him commandment to reproduce to fill the earth. He further commanded him not to touch or eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. You may ask yourself; what at all was in that tree, which can cause man to be totally separated from God? I asked myself the same question and as I was meditating on this, I heard this in my ears it was not about the tree (fruit), it was about absolute obedience. So God actually expected Adam to obey him and act on his word only.

Gen 3:1-7 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

Before the rebellion, the only kind of reality Adam was used to was spiritual reality, since God is Spirit and Adam who was his son was also a spiritual being. In Genesis 2:25, Adam and Eve were both naked and was not ashamed or could not acknowledge that fact because they were offspring of God who is a spirit and could only respond to spiritual truth. God provided Adam with all that he needed to enjoy his life and even gave him a companion. So in effect Adam, lacked nothing pertaining to life and godliness.

Eze 28:17 Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee. KJV

Eve started using her senses even before she took a fruit of the tree of life in verse 6. Verse
