They are currently building a huge super port complex that will support the world's largest tankers and speed the delivery of iron ore and other resources to Asia. It's not just commodities that are driving Brazil's boom. They have a large manufacturing base, large auto industry & the world's 3rd largest aircraft manufacturer Aviation giant Embraer which is a main supplier of regional jets to the U.S. market. They have created almost 1.5 million jobs this year. Brazil has also recently discovered oil fields off shore which should produce in excess of 6 million barrels of oil per day which will put them in among the 3rd or 4th producer in the world which will be massive exports for their country. Brazil's past 35th president Lula, helped lift 21 million people out of poverty into the lower middle class which developed an untapped market for new shopping & buying. He was friendly to business while his policies encouraged growth and development and maintaining tight conservative fiscal policies and banking regulations that left Brazil unharmed by the world's financial crises. His policies are expected to continue since his former chief of staff is the new elected president and she has maintained his policies. Petrobras the state owned Oil Company is expected to begin drilling for what is believed to be the largest discovery of oil in the past 35 years, which will make them the one of the largest exporters. Recently, a Goldman Sacs economist predicted that Brazil along with Russia, China & India will dominate the world's economy in the 21st Century. Brazil has no expensive nuclear arsenal and besides contributing a small number of troops for the Allied cause in 1944, Brazil hasn't fought a war since 1870. Brazil is poised for massive growth, which will mean increased shopping and increased benefits for Lyoness Premium members.
