This article describes the correlation between fear in childhood with criminal behavior in adulthood. It is based off of an experiment conducted comparing the fear of certain three year olds with their behaviors later in life. The article is organized by introducing the question and later explaining the results they gathered from trying to find the answer. The author has a very straight forward approach with informing the reader. She stays on topic and uses a lot of facts and statistics. The purpose of this article is to inform readers about criminal behavior and early signs of future criminals. This is relevant to my topic because it shows a correlation between behavior in children when they are young to criminal behavior when they are older. I do not find this article particularly useful to my research however, because it does not state whether the lack of fear is due to genetics or due to the environment of their upbringing. It is organized by stating different diet issues with what psychological disorder they may cause and what can be used to prevent it. The approach of this author was to separate the different diet issues into different paragraphs and states what issues they cause within that paragraph. It is very organized and stays on topic. Each paragraph starts out by stating the issue, what is causes and how it can be resolved by consuming certain nutrients. The purpose of this article is to inform curious readers, and may be directed at parents of young children. This article is relevant to my topic because it describes the causes of certain psychological disorders, none of which are hereditary. This article presents facts and statistics about children raised by abusive parents. It is organized into different sections each with bullets or graphs to represent the facts. The purpose of this article was to share the truth about child abuse and the future danger it may have on the over all society. I believe the authors ideal audience for this kind of article is the everyday public. This source is relevant to my topic because it shows that if a child is abused he/she is

more likely to show signs of criminal behavior and/or develop a psychological disorder. I find this information to be very useful in my research because it presents shocking statistics to support the fact that criminal behavior is environmental. Picker, Les. This sources starts out by asking the question Is child abuse a cause of criminal behavior?, then goes on to presenting facts to help answer the question. The article explains how identical twins separated at birth are compared by their upbringing and current behavior stating that the twin who suffered from child abuse shows more signs of criminal behavior than the other twin, suggesting that aggressive behavior is not genetic. The purpose for this article is to inform readers about the dangers of child abuse and the long term effects it can have on society. The higher the rate of child abuse, the higher the rate of crime. The ideal audience for this article would be the general public because this is an article created for the purpose of informing the public. This article is relevant to my topic because it shares research and proof that criminal behavior does not have to be genetic and that it can be avoided by giving the child a proper up bringing. I find this to be very useful in my research and very credible as well. The author of this article has done research and is presenting very credible fact. Steele, Donette. Each disorder is accompanied by facts regarding the disorder and other useful information about it. The author is using a very straight forward approach to inform the reader, by stating each fact in a bullet form. There are a lot of use of statistics and comparisons related to the presence of each disorder among different groups of people. The purpose of this article is to inform the reader about each psychological disorder listed and to make the reader aware of the probability of possessing one of said disorders. Because each fact is listed in very easy to understand vocabulary and right to the point, the authors ideal audience would most likely be curious readers who do not have an education in the medical field. I believe this article has a large relevance to my topic of Effects on children of parents with Psychological disorders due to the fact that it has statistics and genetic information named on each disorder. I find this article to be credible because it was written by a psychology teacher who has experience in the field.
