19/11/2012:

Had discussions with Bro. Dhanaraj.Made awareness to VI - IX Std. Students of our School. Voluntary members were invited from each class. We said that Rule list of EFN Club will be given shortly.
21/11/2012:

Collected names from Standard IX for the rally which is going to be held on 24 and 25, 2012. Many students gave their names.
23/11/2012:

Re-collected the names for the rally from Class IX Students to be held on 24/11/2012 in the Gandhi Market Areas. (Due to NCC Day and Adventure Trip 25.11.12 was cancelled).

Nearly 25 of them gave their names eagerly. 23/11/2012: Pamphlets and Posters were readied for the rally. It consisted of the following tags in tamil: Anbana Pothumakkale! 24/11/2012: Awareness Program in the Gandhi Market Areas, Trichy.

Rule List of EFN Club:

RULES ARE NOT JUST TO BE READ BUT ARE TO BE FOLLOWED

1. Reduce plastic bags as much as you can.* 2. Follow the principle of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. 3. Grow at least 1 plant on your own, without the help of anyone.* 4. Reduce the amount of junk you eat and soft drinks you drink. 5. Do not throw the chocolate wrappers on the floor in the school campus.* 6. Conserve water as much as you can.* 7. Do not leave water to get stagnated which is a major cause for many diseases like the prevailing Dengue fever. 8. Think of energy saving methods in school by Turning off the fans and lights when you leave the class.* 9. Protect our School Environment by a) Avoiding plastic carry bags.

We the students of the Eco- friendly Nature Club of Montfort School , Kattur, Trichy went on a awareness program to Gandhi Market. We were 22 members and we divided ourselves into 4 groups and we went to different areas in Gandhi Market to make awareness

9.30 am All the students who were to participate in the program arrived at a place in Gandhi Market. 9.45 am-Teams were divided and team leaders were set. All the teams dispersed to different places. 10.00 am 12.00 pm- The teams went to different places like Univercell, Thaila Silks , B.G Naidu Sweets ,Krishna Sweets , Balaji Silks, Annamalai Stationery (Only Shop using cloth bags), Many Small Shops and houses to make awareness about the DANGERS OF USING PLASTIC BAGS. 12.15 pm- All the members dispersed to their homes.

28/11/12 Volunteers Sheet prepared. 28/11/12: Principal Bro. Dhanaraj talked about the EFN Club in the assembly and appreciated us. Volunteers from each class were selected. These volunteers will take responsibilities about the EFN Club in their respective classes. One boy and one girl volunteer was choosed from each class. We were astonished that many were interested in being the volunteer of their class.
