Introduction

Currently student in our institute submits hardcopy of filled registration form to the office and then they enter all data into excel file and write same in manual register. For the purpose of Issue of admit card /library-card and to communicate with student the various departmental staff needs the general info and the contact details for taking printout and display it in college premises. Our Student Registration System will permit to register and collect the student related information or maintaining master details and generating various reports .It is specifically for office automation. This system will help to reduce the paper work. System will help to eliminate the manual intervention and increase the speed of whole process. The Student Registration System is easy to use, full-featured and flexible Student Registration system .

OBJECTIVE
The main objective of this project is to computerize the manual system & reduce the time consumption. In other words we can say that our project has the following objectives:-

1. Make the registration system computerized 2. Reduce time consumption 3. Reduce error scope 4. Increase efficiency of the existing registration system 5. Generate various reports. Paper work is reduced as we need not to maintain registers for future references

PROJECT CATEGORY
This project as title STUDENT REGISTRATION SYSTEM FOR OFFICE AUTOMATION is developed with the help of VISUAL BASIC .NET 2005. This application is for standalone system.

TOOLS/PLATFORM
This project is developed using the tools, which are most suited for development of the Application Package. These tools are as follows: -

1. VISUAL BASIC .NET 2005 2. MS-ACCESS 2007

HARDWARE & SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT

HARDWARE:
Processor Pentium-II or higher

Processor Speed 533 MHZ

Hard Disk Space 20 GB (min.)

Ram Memory 32 MB (64 MB recommended)

SOFTWARE:
Operating System Windows XP/7

MS ACCESS 2007 VISUAL BASIC 2005(.NET framework).

SYSTEM DESIGN
This project is designed to make the registration system computerized. Computerized registration system provides the facility to feed the registration details easily and reduced manual work.

The system is stand alone. The project is designed to allow the following features1. Feeding the student registration within seconds. 2. Report generation 3. Maintenance is easy

The project is designed in the way that it first requires login name and password for the purpose of security so that no other person can access the registration system. Then it gives the facility to generate report.
