GREG BROWN TRIBUTE

Near Eastside personality Greg Brown was most known for his unconventional art space, Utrillos, on East 10th Street. Commonly referred to as an Outsider Artist, Brown made a habit of working outside of conventional art practices. Since the mid-1990s, Greg Brown has been a colorful contribution to the character and diversity of the Near Eastside. His death in July 2012 was a shock to many who looked to him as an Eastside staple. A small collection of his paintings and writings, curated by Carla Knopp, can be found at the Made for Each Other Gallery, 2807 E. 10th Street. A closing reception will be held Friday, Dec. 7th 5-8pm.
