Introduction and background Repetitive strain injury or RSI is a generalized or combined terminology that includes more than twenty different types of arthritis involving the muscles, bones and the joints. Some examples of the RSI are tendonitis (inflammation of muscle tendons) carpal tunnel syndrome, bursitis, Trigger finger and cumulative Trauma Disorders (CTDs).
What causes repetitive strain injury? In most cases, a repetitive strain injury occurs because of the continuous overuse and wear and tear on the same organs or parts of the body. Therefore, work-related (or occupational) Repetitive Strain Injuries (RSIs) are considered as one of the most common types of RSI.
ii) By addressing the root cause of the problem: Provailen also addresses the origin of the problem i.e. effects produced by the bad posture, excessive force or long vibrations, by structurally modifying the muscles, tendons, ligaments and other soft tissues of and around the affected joints. This results in swift elimination of the real cause of the problem.
