Dear Family, A few years ago I began to say upon greeting or leaving people, God bless you or Have a blessed day. Previously, I would always say Have a nice day or Good Morning or Goodnight. When I say God bless you I realized that is exactly what God does, so I leave the person with a gift of Gods special favor upon them. It also acknowledges the belief in our loving Father, our God. It is proclaiming our faith out loud. With the approaching Christmas season I encourage and invite you to bless those you encounter with a God bless you and Merry Christmas!. It is just a little way of acknowledging our faith out loud. Let us give Gods blessings to the cashier or sales clerk of the stores we frequent this Christmas. Let us bless them with our kindness and our faith. Have a wonderful Advent Season. In the Lords Love, Fr. Jim
