The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors (the Committee) of Collins & Aikman Corporation, et al. (the Debtors), by and through its undersigned counsel, joins (the Joinder) the Debtors Objection (the Debtors Objection) to Patterson et als Motion for Relief from the Automatic Stay (the Motion). On May 17, 2005 (the Petition Date), each of the Debtors commenced with this

Court a voluntary case under chapter 11 of title 11 of the United States Code (the Bankruptcy Code). 2. Since the Petition Date, the Debtors have continued in possession of their

properties, and have continued to operate and manage their businesses as debtors in possession pursuant to sections 1107(a) and 1108 of the Bankruptcy Code. 3. On May 24, 2005, pursuant to section 1102 of the Bankruptcy Code, the United

States Trustee for the Eastern District of Michigan appointed the Committee. THE COMMITTEES JOINDER On September 28, 2005, the Debtors filed the Debtors Objection. The Committee agrees with the assertions set forth in the Debtors Objection and, accordingly, files this Joinder in support of the Debtors Objection. CONCLUSION For all of the foregoing reasons, the Committee respectfully requests that the Court (i) deny the Motion and (ii) grant such other relief as the Court deems just, equitable and proper.
