Character Profile

Name:
Aala. A Greek name adapted by the Wiccan religion meaning or Royal.

Gender:
Female

Age:
8

Story:
Aala was created in the year 2447 by a secret division in the government for a way for them to steal and maintain intelligence from other nations to prevent wars from breaking out. However, Aala was created as a smart A.I., meaning she was able to evolve and expand her knowledge. In 2451 she became self-aware and started to understand the real reason she was created. She was made to hack into the different countries mainframes and modify their nuclear weapons systems and provoke a war so that they would obliterate their own people unknowingly. Aala protested to this and disappeared into the system where the government where the government couldnt access her, she then started to teach them a lesson and make them realize how it felt to be the victim of a nuclear attack.

Hero Prop:
Aalas hero prop is going to be her projection monitor, without it she cannot form and without her form she is trapped. The Prop is a huge structure in the center of the room. Although that is the place where she materializes, she can step off the projector and walk around the room and manage her systems remotely.

Character Influence Map

The way I am portraying my character is as a holographic projection of the engineer who created her. The reason I have done this, is because I like the idea of having an artificial character that cannot physically interact with people, but can manipulate them, and technology with ease. The way I picture her in my mind, is a cross between the hologram of Princess Leia from Star Wars, and the A.I. Cortana from the Halo series. She will be a thick-volume hologram, which is the most frequently seen hologram in media, the other being thin-volume, which is a just a 2D image projected upwards.

Secret Lair Influence Map

An A.I. doesnt usually have a lair, as they live within software and hardware. However, I feel like we dont see the inside of the hardware, and it would be interesting to see what the A.I. can conjure up. Because she is an A.I. which manipulates software, she can produce an environment that only she can access and to look however she wants. She can also change parts to suit her changing needs, as she is a smart A.I. she is always learning and evolving.

Secret Lair Definitive Thumbnails

This is my most definitive thumbnail, the idea I had behind this was that as an A.I. she is alone in this, in essence, small, yet giant world, and because she is alone she has conjured this bubble to keep herself hidden away and to create a sense of safety and security.

Hero Prop Influence Map

The hero prop idea I came up with, is that in the center of the room there will be a holographic projector, but unlike in most of modern media, she will be able to walk off of the plinth and walk around her environment. I have chosen this kind of hologram because otherwise her movement is very limited, for example in Star Wars, the holograms only move within their designated areas and I feel like the movement of the character, and the fact that with the help of the projector she can increase and decrease her size greatly improves the effectiveness of the character.

These look really definitive, I can kind of see you creating something like a cross between a Star Wars and Men in Black type alien, I cant wait to see what you come up with! I really like the concept of the alchemy table as well; I think you can really expand on that!

These maps look really good! What you could also look at is underground lairs. You've outlined your alchemist as rogue and on the run, and that could open possibilities to an underground derelict space.

This sounds really good Alex! if you outline why he needs to save his race that could help, because if there was, for example a war, then his lair could be beaten up and crumbling. And if you say why he's hiding you could develop the story more.

These are really good Dhuran, I think you made a great decision to incorporate a more sci-fi element into your lair as that will really define it as belonging to a cyborg.

I really like 1 and 2, the angle in 1 is really nice and it shows more of the room, but i really like the contrast in 2 with the red and the grey

I love 1.2, 4.0 and 4.1! they really show a sense of depth and character! I can really tell that your character is showered in royalty and power!

Hey! This sounds really good, I can't wait to see your thumbnails

If you want some pirate caves, you can look at the Pirates of the Caribbean films, they're very stereotypical but some of the cave structures are still pretty amazing!

Comments from Myself to Lekti Rose Jacobs

I agree with Jackie on this, 2 sounds really good, but 3 could really set you up with a much more sophisticated and effective space. 3 kind of reminds me of metropolis and the underground machines that produce a thick smog.
