ADVERTISEMENT FOR RECRUITMENT OF THE POST OF PUBLIC ANALYST (Later to be re-designated as Food Analyst) FOR STATE PUBLIC HEALTH LABORATORY UNDER HEALTH & F.W.DEPTT.GOVT.OF ODISHA DATE OF RECEIPT OF APPLICATION:Within 30 (thirty) days from the date of publication of the Advertisement.(if the last date of application for the post happens to be a holiday the next Govt.working day will be treated as the last date for submission of application.) Applications in the prescribed format given below are invited from the intending candidates for filling the post of Public Analyst (later to be re-designated as Food Analyst) in the State Public Health Laboratory, Bhubaneswar on CONTRACTUAL basis. ELIGIBILITY:(a) The Candidate should be citizen of India and within the upper age limit of 62 years as on the date of publication. (b) The Candidate already employed in Central Govt./State Govt./Autonomous Body may apply through their concerned Authority with No Objection Certificate. (c) The candidate should be medically fit to work
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (a) (i) Holds a Masters Degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology , Food & Nutrition or Holds Bachelor of Technology in Dairy/ Oil or holds Degree in Veterinary Sciences from a University established in India bylaw or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analyst conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or any other equivalent qualification requisite and notified by the Central Govt. for such purposes and has not less than 3 years experience in the analysis of Food; and

Has been declared qualified for appointment as Public Analyst / Food Analyst by a Board appointed and notified by Central Government for such purpose. Any person who has been declared qualified for appointment as Public Analyst by the Board constituted under Prevention of Food Adulteration Act-1954 shall be eligible for the holding the post of Food Analyst. Any person who is a Public Analyst under the provision of prevention of Food Adulteration Act-1954 may hold Office of the Food Analyst subject to the terms and conditions of service applicable to him / her even though he/she does not fulfill the qualification prescribed above.

CONDITION OF APPOINTMENT: (a) The tenure of contract of service shall be for a period of one year and to be renewed from time to time basing on satisfaction of performance. Contractual remuneration @ Rs. 50000/- P.M. In case of retired state /central Govt. employee with requisite qualification, the remuneration will be limited to Rs76000/- including the remuneration and gross pension /other forms of retirement benefit on re-employment as per circular No. Pen/07/200950072/ F, Dt. 13.10.2009 of Finance Deptt. Govt. of Odisha. In case a person from the State, who was not a Government Employee is selected, he/she would also be entitled to get Rs50,000/- per month.

REJECTION OF APPLICATION:Incomplete application in any manner/form and applications received beyond the closing date shall be summarily rejected.
