240 250 260 270 280 290 300 310 320 330 340 AN ACT CONCERNING Recycling at Establishments with Class D Beer, Wine, and Liquor Licenses FOR the purpose of ensuring that establishments which sell, use, and trash massive amounts of recyclable materials for on-premise consumption recycle said materials. BY repealing, and reenacting, with amendments Article 2B. Alcoholic Beverages Title 6. Beer, Wine, and Liquor Licenses Subtitle 4. Class D (On-Sale) Taverns, etc. 6-401. Beer, wine, and liquor license- Taverns (a) Annotated Code of Maryland SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE MARYLAND STUDENT LEGISLATURE, that the laws of Maryland read as follows: 6-401. Beer, wine and liquor license -- Taverns (a) General provisions. (1) A Class D beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued by the license issuing authority of the county in which the place of business is located. It authorizes the holder to keep for sale and sell all alcoholic beverages at retail at the place described in it, for consumption on the premises or elsewhere. A license may not be issued for any drugstore. (2) The annual license fee shall be paid to the local collecting agent before any license is issued, for distribution as provided. (3) WITHIN 90 DAYS OF RECEIVING THIS LICENSE THE TAVERN MUST PROVIDE, AND REGULARLY USE, A RECYCLING OPTION FOR DISPOSAL OF THE CONTAINERS CONSUMED ON THE PREMISES. THIS RECYCLING OPTION CAN BE DONE THROUGH A COUNTY PROGRAM OR THROUGH AN INDIVIDUAL PROGRAM. (3) (4) In this section, "Board" means the Board of License Commissioners for the jurisdiction to which the subsection applies. SECTION 2.
