Prayer for our Nations Health Care Reform

Lord Jesus, you are the Divine Physician, And the source of all life and health. Guide our nation at this critical moment, As our government seeks health care reforms. Give our elected officials the humility to know That they are servants, not masters. Give them the wisdom to realize That every life has equal value. Give them the strength to resist the idea That some lives can be sacrificed to save others Or that killing the unborn is a part of health care. Give your people the courage to speak up And to hold public officials accountable for their actions. Save us, Lord Jesus, from a culture of death, And let every reform in our public policy Be based on the reform of our hearts and minds In the light of your Gospel, For you are Lord forever and ever. Amen.

O Mary, Mother of the Life Within, all life we entrust to you; The life of every expectant mother and the child within her womb: The life of every human body, the life of every human soul; The life of every newborn child and the life of all grown old. You held the Lord to your own heart and drew Him so close in. So draw us now in all our needs, O Mother of the Life Within. Amen.

Prayer to the Virgin Mary Mary, Mother of Jesus and

Mother of us all, we turn to you today as the one who said "Yes" to Life. "You will conceive and bear a Son," the angel told you. Despite the surprise and the uncertainty about how this could be, you said yes. "Be it done unto me according to your word." Mary, we pray today for all mothers who are afraid to be mothers. We pray for those who feel threatened and overwhelmed by their pregnancy. Intercede for them, that God may give them the grace to say yes and the courage to go on. May they have the grace to reject the false solution of abortion. May they say with you, "Be it done unto me according to your word." May they experience the help of Christian people, and know the peace that comes from doing God's will. Amen.

Prayer to End Abortion Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, And for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, Yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit myself to be active in the pro-life movement, And never to stop defending life Until all my brothers and sisters are protected, And our nation once again becomes A nation with liberty and justice Not just for some, but for all, Through Christ our Lord. Amen!

LORD, through the Holy Spirit Mary brought forth the Baby Jesus. We bring forth your creation of human life that we may live in Your image. Protect the innocent babies so mercilessly being murdered by abortion. Give us courage to oppose those who peddle death for profit and convenience. In Your Name. Amen.

O God, our Heavenly Father, You sent Your Son into this world that He might Bless and Consecrate all life to You. Your constant Love protected Him as the Ever Virgin Mary bore Him in Her womb for nine months. In His mission He taught us the Greatness of Your Love and the Sanctity of Life. We pray that we may always cherish the Life that You give us. In a special way we ask and pray that You Grace and Protect all unborn children with Your ever caring Love. We pray this in the Name of Jesus, Who is Lord, Forever and Ever. Amen. Father and maker of all, you adorn all creation with splendor and beauty, and fashion human lives in your image and likeness. Awaken in every heart reverence for the work of your hands, and renew among your people a readiness to nurture and sustain your precious gift of life. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Prayer for Pro-Life Efforts

Hail and blessed be the hour and the moment in which the Word of God came to earth as a single cell and made His abode in the most pure body of the Virgin Mary. O Cell Divine, in that hour hear the prayers that we send to you across the ages. Welcome into Your loving care the souls of all those children who are rejected by their mothers. Look with compassion upon those mothers who are driven by distress and delusion to seek the lives of their own offspring. Have mercy upon those who turn their training in the healing arts to the purposes of death. Inspire Christians everywhere to seek out and apply Christian solutions to social problems. Bless our efforts to educate and serve. Help us to conduct them in the spirit of humility and love that will win minds and hearts to accept the truth, to minister to those in need, and to forego the resort to violence. Amen

Prayer to the Author of Life

Father of us all, Author of all life, I thank you for my life and the appreciation of it. Please help me to always respect the lives of all your children, from conception to natural death. Let your Spirit enlighten the minds and open the hearts of those who do not fully respect all human life according to your will. Where there is remorse, grant peace to all women and everyone affected by past abortions. Lighten the burdens of all women with problem pregnancies. Thank you, Father. Amen
