explosion-proof units featu ring

products also offer the option of either of two standard porcelain enamel reilectors rn Angle or Dome RL|\y' type construction.
These units have am ple strength n every part to withstand the tre-
mendous pressures of internal explosions without perm itting flame or sparks to escape and gnite surrounding atmospheres. Porcelain enamel steel refiectors attach to body of unit and are held in place by an aluminum retaining band. The cast aluminum hoods have a removable access plug for inspection or wiring. The top of the body is factory sealed so there are no pigtails to splice and no sealing compound necessary, allowing the use of 90'C supp y wlring.
The glass globe is securely held to the body by the removable guard. The unit body is ribbed and a lug is provided on the guard and upper housing so that a screwdriver can be used to tighten the components. The globe has a formed metal gasket to make an effective seal when the guard is tightened.
