FIRE SERVICE ORGANIZATION AND POLICY

INTRODUCTION In Malaysia, the responsibility for fire fighting including fire involving the Malaysian Armed Forces property is located in the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM). Force, however, required to provide its own fire brigade services in the installation, the installation is important and is at risk high fire. Airport Fire Service (Crash and Rescue Fire Services) and Fire Services Domestic (Domestic Fire Services) was established when authorities Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department can not provide required fire protection. AIRPORT FIRE STATION Airport Fire Station is responsible for providing fire protection at the airport, handling service aircraft rescue and fire fighting.Needs of fire and criteria, members and setting a platform category used are in accordance with the recommendations of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), based on the Guide Airport Service Rescue and Fire Fighting (Manual Service Airport Rescue and Fire-Fighting). DOMESTIC FIRE STATION Domestic Fire Station is responsible for providing the installation of fire protectionkey installation in the unit / base. Prior to the domestic fire stations established in a Unit/ Base, matters the following should be noted first. a. Check the category of each Unit / Base according to the specified below. b. Compare the attendance requirements of Aero Fireman in the presence Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM) . c. If the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM) would arrive in time, it is not necessary to establish a complete fire station at Unit / Base concerned. In under these circumstances, may be established a fire section for tasks maintenance of fire equipment and to train members of the Unit / Base. d. If the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM) could not reach on time, then complete fire stations shall be established at the Unit / Base on which is designated by category. CATEGORY UNIT For the purpose of domestic fire fighting, Unit / Base is a specific category. Category Unit is divided into 5 parts, which depends on a number criteria. Unit / Base is category from A to E according to risk. Each category require arrival of the fire vehicle and firefighters in a timely manner whether the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia (JBPM) or RMAF Fire Services. Definition of the category arrival of the RMAF Fire Services is as follows:

DEFINISI (b) Unit-unit mengalami kebakaran, boleh mengancam keselamatan anggota atau boleh memusnahkan harta-benda, sehingga boleh memberi kesan kepada kemampuan operasi. Unit-unit, jika mengalami kebakaran, boleh mengancam keselamatan anggota atau boleh memusnahkan harta benda sehingga boleh memberi kesan yang serius ke atas rancangan strategik atau kemampuan operasi. Unit-unit jika mengalami kebakaran, boleh mengancam keselamatan anggota atau memusnahkan harta-benda sehingga mungkin memberi kesan terhad kepada rancangan strategic atau kemampuan operasi. Unit-unit jika mengalami kebakaran, boleh mengancam keselamatan anggota tetapi tidak memberi kesan yang serius kepada rancangan strategik atau kemampuan operasi. bagaimanapun risiko yang ada memerlukan kehadiran pasukan bomba. Unit-unit jika mengalami kebakaran, tidak akan memberi kesan langsung kepada rancangan. (Mengharapkan bantuan penuh dari pasukan bomba awam dan persediaan sendiri).

FIREMAN ROLE Fire control service play role that is important namely: a. b. Life saving. Reduce property destruction result fire.

TASK AND RESPONSIBILITY Responsible in carrying out following duties: a. Life saving, fighting fire and reduce damage property result fire. b. Operate aircraft emergency.

c. Conduct fire prevention inspections to ensure that all instructions are complied with and all of the serious fire risk should be reported to the authority (as applicable).

d. Conduct fire drills and emergency aircraft. e. Advanced training to firefighters. f. To conduct lectures and training to members of the Unit / Base. g. Conduct fire inspections and maintenance of equipment. h. Closely with local fire services. i. A visit to the area Unit / Base to members familiar with the circumstances surrounding the fire.
