English Strings for Dawnguard v1.0.

1 by Seraphiel ------------------------------------------------This is a mod that changes most of the Dawnguard DLC in-game text spellings from American English to English English (or British English if you prefer). It's no t that the version of English that is found in America is wrong, it's just not t he same as the English taught in England, Australia, and so on. It only changes the Dawnguard string files so you'll also need the base mod "Eng lish Strings for Skyrim" if you don't already have it. There's a discussion thread for this mod on the Official Bethesda forums as well : http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1329432-relz-english-strings-for-skyrim/ What does this mod change? -------------------------This mod changes the three base Dawnguard String files (Dawnguard_English.DLSTRI NGS, Dawnguard_English.ILSTRINGS, Dawnguard_English.STRINGS) located in the Dawn guard BSA file under the "Data\Strings" folder. There is no .esp or .esm file with this mod as it doesn't require one. Compatibility ------------In theory this mod should be compatible with any mod that doesn't modify any of the following files: Data\Strings\Dawnguard_English.DLSTRINGS Data\Strings\Dawnguard_English.ILSTRINGS Data\Strings\Dawnguard_English.STRINGS That being said, since this mod changes the base Strings files, where the game g rabs all its in-game text from, any mod plugin (.esm,.esp) that edits the vanill a text will override what is in the Strings file and replace it with the new tex t located within the plugin file. So, for example, new & edited items/quests/spe lls/perks etc. created by mods will have the exact same text the mod author gave it since that text comes from their mod's plugin file. IMPORTANT: Note that if you verify the integrity of your game cache on Steam it will replac e all these files with the original ones, so be aware that this mod will need to be re-installed afterwards. What text do the different files contain? ----------------------------------------.DLSTRINGS - This file contains all book body text and quest description text. .ILSTRINGS - This file contains all NPC dialogue subtitles. .STRINGS - This file contains all item names, actor names, race names, locatio n names, quest objectives, loading screen text, player dialogue choices, some UI text. To Install

---------1. Back up the existing Strings folder (Data\Strings). Yes, I mean it - back tho se files up! 2. Extract the downloaded file into your Skyrim folder (click 'yes to overwrite' if necessary). To Remove --------1. Copy your previously backed up copies of the three files (Dawnguard_English.D LSTRINGS, Dawnguard_English.ILSTRINGS, Dawnguard_English.STRINGS) into your "Dat a\Strings" folder. Change Log ---------v1.0.1 - Renamed one missed generically named Dwemer Chest. - Fixed two vanilla dialogue subtitle errors (Katria). v1.0.0 - Full release. v0.8.0 - Second WIP release. I haven't been able to get very far into playing the game to check for errors, so there will most likely be things I've missed. v0.5.0 - Initial WIP release.
