Kindergarten teachers Emily Davis & Lilly Auger

August has been a busy month for the Kindergarten class. Students are now used to the rules and routines of school. We are working on learning to print and recognize by sight and sound the beginning letters of the alphabet. Students are also recognizing, printing, and counting numbers. We also spend time learning to notice and tell about details we might want to share when we draw or write together. We're looking forward to observing the seasonal changes that fall will bring to the community!

Grade 1/2 teachers Erik Davidson & Yvonne Laboucan

Hello, this is Mr. Davidson. Starting off, I would like to say that I am very impressed with the effort that all of my student's have put into their school work this month. August was a very important month for the grade 1 and 2 class; setting the tone of success and what it looks like for each student in my class this year. For example, in Language Arts class I am teaching my student's how to recognize letters by sound; an important crossroad for beginning readers who still have trouble with their alphabet. In Math, my student's can recognize patterns situations in real life and can create complex patterns at a grade 1 and 2 level. After this upcoming month, I am sure that they will have patterns "in the bag"! On the first day of class, I told my student's that whenever they tried their best, I will always acknowledge it and find a way to make them successful in grade 1 and 2. That is something that I will also guarantee, to the parents and guardians of the grade 1 and 2 class this year. Sincerely, I wish you all a great year!

Our class has achieved 74% attendance this month 0congratulations and thank-you parents for working hard to get your children off to school .Keep up the great effort.
