September and October 2008, intern in the chambers of Judge Robert G. Dowd. Worked closely with
Judge; attended dockets; discussed positions of civil and criminal cases; reviewed briefs; researched
legal issues; and assisted Judge in drafting judicial opinions.

EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION, (“EEOC”) St. Louis, MO:

Interned from January to May 2008 for United States federal agency empowered by Congress to
enforce laws prohibiting discrimination in the workplace. Researched legal questions; prepared
memoranda on various evidentiary, procedural, and jurisdictional issues; participated in mediations
and pre-trial conferences; drafted protocol for investigators pursuing pattern and practice charges;
and assisted attorneys in writing court documents.
