Only when you pray to God things start happening

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you pray to God? The world could be a different place if all those who profess to be Christians would pray to God in a completely new way. Maybe God is still waiting for those with the will to see things change. It may seem to you that everything is lost and that nothing can be done to make an impact on this secular postmodern society. There is no place for God in a world so smug about its own origins and destiny. Religion is no more than a useless superstition that soon will be obsolete. Who needs a God when we have science, intelligence and self determination? The Israelites once had this mindset as a nation. They had forgotten completely the wonderful miracles that God had made in the past, freeing millions from slavery in Egypt, parting the seas to let them pass unharmed, conquering their enemies and giving them a rich land as inheritance, the list goes on indefinitely. However, when Isaiah is writing his book, the situation in Israel is very much like it is in the world today We have gone against the Lord, and been false to him, turning away from our God, our words have been uncontrolled, and in our hearts are thoughts of deceit. And the right is turned back, and righteousness is far away: for good faith is not to be seen in the public places, and upright behavior may not come into the town. Yes, faith is gone; and he whose heart is turned from evil comes into the power of the cruel: and the Lord saw it, and he was angry that there was no one to take up their cause. These verses were written almost three thousand years ago, but they read like yesterdays newspaper. God is still the same and still He sees from the heavens and gets angry because no one takes up the cause of those oppressed by the evil men in power. There is a mission for those who side with God and want to see this world part of the Kingdom of Heaven Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. If we want good things to happen, we must strive for them in prayer. We have to pray to God to bring His kingdom and see His will done in this world. Maybe if we

prayed more and complained less about how bad things are, we could see God moving in a powerful way. There are no shortcuts and no easy way out. To make things happen we have to take part. If we dont act now, well have to hear this words that the prophet Ezekiel had to address to those in Jerusalem who cared not for the wickedness around them And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none. Lets pray to God before it becomes too late
