Initiate all coaching conversations with clients by Celebrating a positive event in their life, ensure that the coaching Contract is in place and understood by yourself and the client. Acknowledge him for his presence and achievements. Check the current Reality, understand what the client is tabling as an issue , paraphrase to be with the client and in his space completely. Help creating a trust zone thru active listening and paraphrasing . Clarify wherever necessary to understand his underlying belief , values , purpose . Appreciate and acknowledge appropriately. Understand where the client Aspires to be. This will be actually defining his goal or state to be in as the conversation progresses. Unfold the true Confusion and Concern of the client in reaching his aspired state. What are the emotions underneath and other barriers holding the client back from fulfilling his aspirations. Why is he where he is today and now. Empathize, appreciate and acknowledge appropriately. Understand if he is carrying a baggage of blame. Helping the client to be in self Awareness. Enabling him to understanding himself better in the current context, his true barrier, his emotions, his state of being by using powerful questioning, perceptual positioning and other tools . This would be a state of shifting perspectives. Is there a scope being in gratitude?
