We are here to help make fitness a part of your daily routine. All of our pools and gyms are available throughout the year and between May and September we also open our fabulous outdoor Lido, all included within your Vivacity gym membership. Watch out for our regular events and activities too, such as Rollers roller discos, every Saturday, and our fitness Boot Camp all of which are listed on our website. Public swim Open sessions where everyone can enjoy a relaxing swim in a safe environment. Adults, ladies and ladies/girls-only sessions are also available. Aquanatal This water-based exercise class provides numerous health and wellbeing benefits during pregnancy and following birth. The buoyancy of water enables you to perform non weight-bearing excercises in a safe and enjoyable environment. Classes are led by fully qualified midwives. Routines are performed to music. Disabled swim (Jack Hunt only) Exclusive sessions for the pools disabled customers. The pool has oversized changing rooms and a pool hoist to help accommodate customers needs. Carers swim for free on production of a carer card. Lane swimming A session specifically designed for those who want to improve their fitness in a controlled environment. Private hire (Jack Hunt only) Ever wondered what its like to have your own private pool? Why not find out. The pool is available to hire on Sundays from 3.30pm4.30pm. The art-deco Grade II listed structure, one of the few survivors of its type in the UK, is one of Peterboroughs most iconic landmarks and an important part of the citys heritage. Over its 75 year history it has been enjoyed by generations of Peterborough residents and drawn thousands of visitors from across the region. Come and try this unique experience for yourself. Location At just 0.2 miles from Cathedral Square, the lido is within walking distance of the city centre. Situated next to the Key Theatre - another Vivacity venue there is convenient parking. Swimming facilities and services Three heated outdoor pools, a 50-yard main pool, plus learner pool and paddling pool. Large lawned area with play facilities. Family Fun & Holiday Activities

The pools offer fun sessions during holiday periods which include the use of Water Rollerz, Water walkerz and Water Peddlerz. This equipment is used in many holiday parks and leisure complexes around the UK, its both fun and great for improving fitness levels. The equipment is available to see on the internet on www.waterwalkerz.com and is very safe and secure. The play co-ordinators design sessions in the pools to engage people of all ages to have fun and improve their fitness levels. The Family Fun equipment is available for use every week at the Regional Fitness & Swimming Centre on Sunday afternoons and during the holidays for certain activities. Vivacity Swim Academy The ability to swim is one of the most important skills you can learn and one of the most fun. Both the Regional Fitness & Swimming Centre and Jack Hunt Swimming Pool offer great value teaching programmes for all ages and abilities. The scheme follows the Amateur Swimming Associations (ASA) national plan for teaching swimming, ensuring that children are taught to a high standard, with clearly defined progress stages. All teachers hold the appropriate ASA qualification and are suitably trained to develop and assess all swimmers on the scheme. Courses available weekly or in a 10 week block, with children being assessed and moved to the next stage as appropriate. For details of our next course enrolment days, please contact a member of the Vivacity team, who will be happy to help you.

Pilates Improve your core stability, strength and control at a slower pace through controlled movements that isolate specific muscle groups, while focusing on effective breathing techniques. Classes Spin fit A static cycle class using varied levels of resistance, speed and technique to motivational music for a high-intensity, calorie-burning workout. Short of time? Try a lunch time session. Spin fit & ab conditioning As above, but with an extra 15 minutes focused on working your abdominal muscles. Children using the pool under the age of eight must be accompanied and supervised by a parent/guardian or a suitable, responsible adult who is at least 18 years old. The responsible adult must be in the pool at the same time as the child. Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied by at least one adult. An adult may accompany up to two children between 5 and 8 years old. Vivacity operates a suitable swimwear policy that must be followed at all times. Leisure Centre terms & conditions apply.
