REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBSTATION DISTRIBUTION Distribution Maintenance Department - Requirements

Maintenance Deira Zone 1 Substation Maintenance Sr. Electrician

Diploma / Trade Certificate in Electrical with minimum 2-3 years overall experience in the relevant field. Minimum 1 year experience with utility or reputed electrical organization / manufacturing plant. Should have experience on repair maintenance and trouble shooting of distribution substation equipment (11-6.6/0.4kV) preferably in public utility with knowledge of safety. Should have basic idea on ISO and Occupational Health & Safety. UAE driving license and knowledge of computer application is preferred (Age limit-35)

Electrician
Trade Certificate in Electrical / Electronic (Two years course from recognized Institute) with minimum 3 years experience on relevant field. Should have ability to assist, checking, repair and testing of energy meter activity with knowledge of safe working method. Should possess good health, energetic and able to work for extended hours. Knowledge of computer applications.

Asst. Electrician
Trade certificate in Electrical with 2 years experience in attending preventive routine maintenance of 33/11-6.6kV Switchgears, Circuit Breakers, Transformers and Capacitor Banks at 132/11kV and 33/11-6.6kV substations adhering to safety practices and quality procedures. UAE light vehicle driving license is preferred.

SS Emergency & Cables Sr. Electrician

Diploma / Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering (2 years)with minimum 5 years overall experience with minimum 3 years relevant experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Hands-on knowledge for maintenance of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears and capacitor banks, mobile Diesel Generator operation & maintenance, etc. Thorough knowledge in the maintenance of substation equipments like transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, wiring of electrical installations, testing equipment, cable test van connection and operation experience in Medium voltage cable etc. Should be able to understand electrical circuit drawings and carry out jobs with minimum supervision. To perform inspection and checking of MV/LV switchgears, complaint rectification, wiring and wiring rectification of control panels of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears by applying all safety practices and quality procedures. Should have basic knowledge on ISO and Occupational Health & Safety Practices. Should be willing to work in shifts and round the clock call duty. UAE driving license will be an added advantage.

Cable jointer
Trade Certificate in Electrical/One year electrical course from recognized Institute with Hand on experience on 6.6-11-33 kV Cable jointing / Termination works as per procedures in order to establish, maintain cable networks. Organize, supervise and coordinate the activities related to jointing, termination, repair and maintenance of 6.6 - 11 - 33 KV power cables as per the procedures during emergency cable fault attendance.

Heavy Vehicle Driver

Trade Certificate in Electrical/One year electrical course from recognized Institute with the experience to manage, drive and operate heavy equipments vehicles, fork lift, , Crane mobile generator, truck mounted with light crane ,air-handling machines, oil filtration machines, etc. to various ON-OFF roads, work sites related to 33kV and 11kV substations power and pilot cable fault and transporting equipments during routine and emergency work.

Electrician
Trade Certificate in Electrical/Two year electrical course from recognized Institute with minimum 5 years experience on relevant field. To have hands-on knowledge & ability to perform maintenance of 33 kV, 11 kV & 6.6-0.4 kV level equipment of distribution substation equipment (Both preventive & breakdown maintenance) such as transformers, switchgears, ring main units, low voltage distribution boards, mobile Diesel Generator operation, control panel wiring, DC systems, cable test van connection etc. To have the knowledge of the control panels, wiring of electrical

installations, Phasing of the cable in Medium voltage cable etc. To perform any other works as assigned by supervisor. Should have the knowledge of Diesel Generator mobilization & connection and knowledge on Occupational Health & Safety Practices. Should be willing to work in shifts on round the clock and call duty. UAE driving license will be an added advantage.

LV Network Maintenance Sr. Technician

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 years course in Electrical Engineering) with minimum 5 years experience in an electrical utility and/or contracting organization and should have adequate knowledge and capabilities for supervising underground cable laying termination and jointing works. Should be familiar with modern test instruments used for tracing underground cable faults and rectification works. Should adequate have knowledge of Electrical Installations, Safety Regulations and procedures for working in sub-station, distribution panels, etc. Conversant with field reporting & communication.

Officer
Diploma in Management / Plain Graduate with minimum 3 years experience in attending consumer complaints, dispatching technicians and recording / updating database. Capable to deal with customer with politeness and should assure customer satisfaction. Should report all bottlenecks issues to his immediate in charge. Should be able to deal with external government agencies such as Dubai police, RTA, civil defence, call centreetc. Should have knowledge on Safety measures, Occupation Health, & computer applications.

Technician

Trade Certificate in Electrical/One year electrical course from recognized Institute with hand on experience on 6.6-11-33 kV Cable jointing / Termination works as per procedures in order to establish, maintain cable networks. Organize, supervise and coordinate the activities related to jointing, termination, repair and maintenance of 6.6-11 & 33 kV power cables as per procedures during emergency cable fault attendance. Should have valid UAE Driving License & will be preferred.

Senior Electrician
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 Years) with minimum 5 years overall experience with minimum 3 years relevant experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Hands-on knowledge for maintenance of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears and capacitor banks, mobile Diesel Generator operation & maintenance, etc. Thorough knowledge in the maintenance of substation equipments like transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, wiring of electrical installations, LV cable laying and termination, trouble shooting of electrical equipments, experience in Medium voltage cable etc. Should be able to understand electrical circuit drawings and carry out jobs with minimum supervision. Assisting Engineer in fault finding of MV cable circuit. Conversant with cable test Van, DG phone and other fault locating instruments. To perform inspection and checking of MV/LV switchgears, complaint rectification, wiring and wiring rectification of control panels of 33/11/6.6kV switchgears by applying all safety practices and quality procedures. Should have basic knowledge on ISO and Occupational Health & Safety Practices. Should be willing to work in shifts and round the clock call duty. UAE driving license will be an added advantage

Electrician

Line Maintenance Sr. Lineman

Secondary school certificate and Trade certificate in Electrical from recognized institute/Lineman training course certificate from electrical utility company with minimum 8 years experience in the relevant field experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Candidate Should have experience in 33/11/6.6 KV Overhead line construction, maintenance and emergency fault rectification works..etc. candidate should be able to receive the outage & caution permit of 33/11/6.6KV OHL and carryout necessary maintenance works as per departmental procedure for obtaining trouble free performance of the distribution overhead lines. proficiency in written and spoken English and Possession of UAE driving license are preferable.

Lineman DLM
Secondary school certificate and Trade certificate in Electrical from recognized institute/Lineman training course certificate from electrical utility company with minimum 5 years experience in the relevant field experience with a utility or reputed electrical organization. Candidate Should have experience in 33/11/6.6 KV Overhead line construction, maintenance and emergency fault rectification works..etc. candidate should be able to receive the outage & caution permit of 33/11/6.6KV OHL and carryout necessary maintenance works as per departmental procedure for obtaining trouble free performance of the distribution overhead lines. proficiency in written and spoken English and Possession of UAE driving license are preferable.

Asset Management Cables

Senior Electrician
Three Year Electrical engineering Diploma from a reputed Institute with minimum 10 years experience in a reputed utility /construction or process Industry in the relevant field. Thorough knowledge in the maintenance of Medium voltage Cables and substation equipments like transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, wiring of electrical installations, LV cable laying and termination, trouble shooting of electrical equipments, etc. Should be able to understand electrical circuit drawings and carry out jobs with minimum supervision. UAE driving license and computer proficiency will be an added advantage. Candidates should provide the necessary release/ NOC from their current Employers/ Sponsors at the time of submitting application.

Primary AM Sr. Electrician

Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering 3-5/5-7 years experience in hands on work in routine maintenance/trouble shooting and condition monitoring of 33/11-6.6kV Switchgears, Circuit Breakers, Transformers and Capacitor Banks at 132/11kV and 33/11-6.6kV substations adhering to safety practices and quality procedures. Should be capable to attend preventive/corrective/proactive maintenance of MV equipments in 132kV and 33kV substations. The candidate must be thorough in safety practices related to the maintenance of substation equipment and relevant Quality Standards and ISO. He should have computer knowledge. UAE light vehicle driving license is preferred.
