Our visit to Old Age home

Old age is a time when we need love and care of our loved ones. But some old people are put in old age homes for the aged and are forgotten by their children. I felt very sad to see this. Our parents have sacrificed everything for our happiness and future. So it is improper to act as if they deserve no respect and love from us. Group of students visited old age home on. I and my friends were very happy to go there. We called the inmates dadiji and naniji to make them happy. They were very happy to see us. We sang songs with them. They asked us our names and about our classes and school and so many other questions. We also asked them many questions. They were very happy to see us and hugged us with happiness.. We clicked photos with them. They were very happy to know that we had come from a long distance only for meeting them. It was a memorable day for me, and I wish to get a chance to meet them again. Article by: Aastha Bhambhani

Our visit to Old Age home leaves us with several unanswered questionsWhy do some children neglect their old age parents and consider them as a burden? Dont the parents deserve back the love they gave to their children?

Why Donate Blood.

Every year 100,000,000 blood bags are needed for transfusions across the world. The World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates that on an average each person will require one unit of blood for every fifty years of his/her existence. Every once in a while most blood banks feel the dirth of a particular group of blood in its stock. Only those blood banks who have a list of donors who REGULARLY donate their blood can be of real help to the community in times of natural or manmade disasters (such as earthquakes and terrorist attacks). Most blood donors donate their blood only sporadically. People come in large numbers to donate blood in cases of calamities, but at other times the blood banks stocks may be scanty.

Watch this You tube video showing Why Blood Donation is important

We students are regularly donating our blood to save the life of others. Do You????e.

How many times have you been in a rickshaw, daydreaming, when a small shabby kid appears from nowhere and starts asking for the partially eaten Pizza or burger in your hand? let me guess? atleast one street kid every day. "Didi, khana de na" is how they introduce themselves. your brain starts processing those 4 words, and three things come to your mind. Street kids.hunger.Pity. Normally when we come across these kids, we show moods like frustration, anger, digust, peevishness, but, atleast 1 out of those 100 times, you wish someone could do something about them. also, after passing them, for a moment, you feel, well, guilty. So, instead of feeling guilty or wishing someone else could do something about them, why not YOU be the one to make a difference. So, lets get to the point. For, the youth food is all about expensive restaurants, common joints, various cuisines but for these kids, food is food, one of the components we studied as the basic needs of human life along with clothing and shelter.
