PINE-155

PINE-155 is an Inverse Multiplexing Ethernet Gateway that delivers Gigabit Ethernet services over SDH transportation network. It is a SNMP manageable Central site Aggregation device, which supports HDLC over E1 encapsulation for services and carrier backhaul applications over low and higher speed SDH circuits from single E1 to n x E1. PINE-155 acts as a bridge in a SDH environment, enabling service providers to achieve seamless interconnection between customers, maintaining same service level attributes. It provides one combo Ethernet port (copper/fiber) to the Switched Network and two STM-1 ports to the SDH network.

Typically deployed at Central location, PINE-155 aggregates upto 63 single E1s or different combinations of n x E1 derived from remote devices such as PINE-iE1, PINE-4 and PINE-8, thus completing a full access solution from the Service Provider central site to the customer premises.
