SPECIAL ISSUES TICKET State Of Nebraska Proposed Amendment No. 1 A vote FOR this constitutional amendment would authorize impeachment of civil ofcers for acts that occur in pursuit of the ofce. Current law only allows for impeachment for acts that occur while in ofce. A vote AGAINST this constitutional amendment would not authorize impeachment of civil ofcers for acts that occur while the civil ofcer is pursuing the ofce. A constitutional amendment to provide that any misdemeanor while in pursuit of his or her ofce is grounds for impeachment of a civil ofcer. For Against
SPECIAL ISSUES TICKET State Of Nebraska Proposed Amendment No. 3 A vote FOR this constitutional amendment would change the number of terms a member of the Legislature may serve from two consecutive four year terms to three consecutive four year terms. A vote AGAINST this constitutional amendment would retain two consecutive four year terms as the number of terms a member of the Legislature may serve. SPECIAL ISSUES TICKET City Of Bennington Sales And Use Tax Election Shall the governing body of the City of Bennington, Nebraska, impose a local sales and use tax of one-half of one percent ( %) in addition to the one percent (1%) local sales and use tax currently in effect, for a total City of Bennington local sales and use tax of one and one-half percent (1 %) upon the same transactions within the City of Bennington on which the State of Nebraska is authorized to impose a tax pursuant to the Nebraska Revenue Act of 1967, as amended, the revenue of such one-half percent ( %) increase to be used for the purposes of reducing the debt and property taxes of the City of Bennington. State Of Nebraska Proposed Amendment No. 2 A vote FOR this constitutional amendment would set forth a constitutional right to hunt, to sh, and to harvest wildlife and would designate public hunting, shing, and harvesting of wildlife as a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife. The right set forth by this constitutional amendment would be subject to certain laws, rules, and regulations, and this constitutional amendment would not be construed to modify current laws relating to trespass or property right laws or constitutional provisions pertaining to water. A vote AGAINST this constitutional amendment would result in the right to hunt, to sh, and to harvest wildlife not being added to the Constitution of Nebraska and public hunting, shing, and harvesting of wildlife not being designated a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife. A constitutional amendment to establish the right to hunt, to sh, and to harvest wildlife and to state that public hunting, shing, and harvesting of wildlife shall be a preferred means of managing and controlling wildlife. State Of Nebraska Proposed Amendment No. 4 A vote FOR this constitutional amendment would increase the salary for members of the Legislature from twelve thousand dollars per year to twenty-two thousand ve hundred dollars per year, beginning January 2013. A vote AGAINST this constitutional amendment would result in no change in the salary for members of the Legislature. A constitutional amendment to change the salary of members of the Legislature to twenty-two thousand ve hundred dollars. For Against Village Of Waterloo Sales And Use Tax Election Shall the governing body of the Village of Waterloo, Nebraska, impose a sales and use tax of one-half percent (%) in addition to the one and one-half percent (1%) sales and use tax currently in effect, for a total sales and use tax of two percent (2%) upon the same transactions within the Village on which the State of Nebraska is authorized to impose such tax pursuant to the Nebraska Revenue Act of 1967, as amended; which additional one-half percent (%) sales and use tax shall be used for public infrastructure purposes which may include, but not be limited to, the construction or repair of street, water, storm protection or sewer facilities and systems.
